How much would it cost to have this fixed?
Hey I'm trying to get my friend interested in Muscle Cars again. I saw this for sale in the classifieds, so I'm wondering how much it would cost to have fixed.

I saw that car on the classifieds board. It was priced really good. That's an easy fix-- all bolt-on stuff.
hehe, i really have to show u guys my TA front end damage.
But yeah thats cheap
I paid 72 for fender and 200 for bumper with guts and 40 for the 2 headlights off of ebay.
get the parts then hit maaco.
It does look like its just the sheet metal, and not the frame horn. unlike mine

$1500 are you crazy! lol
Get the parts from the junkyard for cheap, put'em on yourself. Primer'em and bring it to Maaco. They could do a respectable job painting & blending that, nothing too difficult.

He's not talking bodywork, he's talking taking off the old parts and bolting on the new parts.
$1500? Maybe IF they painted the whole car and did a nice job.
It's just labor, if the front subframe isn't tweaked, it's an easy / cheap repair.
My neighbor's son wrecked his '83 Z28. It was a low mile, VERY NICE L69 5 speed car too. Anyway, he bashed the front end and BOTH fenders.
Only liability insurance, so he was gonna just sell it and cut his losses. In fact, he told me he'd sell it to me ( I helped 'em tune it etc ) for $500!!!!!
After talking myself OUT Of buying ANOTHER Camaro, I told him we could fix it for CHEAP.
I ended up finding a '91 RS that had a blown V-6 for $350. We used the later model ground effects, front clip, fenders, hood etc etc. It took us one weekend to take off the parts one car and bolt 'em on the other, and I was showing the kid alot, cause he wanted to learn.
The rest of the car was VERY straight, so we scuffed it, masked it off and loaded it up on a friend's trailer. The guy at the local Maaco sprayed it for $200. We supplied the paint ( base coat / clear coat )that was another $350.
he then sold the '91 parts car to a guy for $300 who wanted the interior.
The car looks BETTER than it did before, and the kid now is REALLY into cars....I see him and his Dad dragging home a new parts car to strip / sell every month or so...they always tell me that they didn't realize how many people need parts for these cars.....
Just my experience...painters make enough, I'm not sending their kids to college on my dime.
