I think this looks so SWEEEEEET!!!!

This is exactly what I want to do to my car, and it took me some 3 years to finally decide on this. I have not seen this combo done yet, but I think it would look so sweet.

I photoshoped either 3.1 Eye Candys car or JBADGTA's car.

Basically,

85-90 TA front and rear
91-92 Z28 side skirts
Fiberglass GTA hood
Hi Rise wing.
Lowered 2" front and 1.75" rear
Base Taillights
No badges or decals
Black interior
Same Black GTA rims

What do you think?

The 91-92 gfx would make it stand out, I would say do it.

There's a white TA with '92 Z ground effects and wings running around on here...Deadbird, maybe? I can't remember.

I like it, especially the Z28 ground effects. How would it look with no wing at all?

Here's a pic of his car.

Car looks good, but how about a 4th gen TA spoiler instead of a high rise spoiler?

I'm glad that GM had put the highrise on the 91-92 Z28s but also wonder why they didn't put them on T/As since the '69 T/As had them originally, the highrise?

I already have the GTA rims and love them. If I ever decided to get 17s, they would have to be deep dished and fit without any kind of adapter or spacer.

So far the only 17s I like that I can afford are the Firehawks.

I think that the T/A's look just as good (if not better) with the hi-rise spoiler. Reminds me of the 69 T/A that was mentioned before.

I think the concept is awsome. Go for it.

IMO, the Hi-Rise looks better on the TA than the Z28s it came with originally, lol.

I was playing around with Icebird's car and decided to Photoshop it to look like I wanted my car to look. I think the Mecham wing looks better than the hi rise so I will go with that.

will the '91-92 front fender skirts from a Z28 fit on a T/A? I can't remember on a camaro if it's all one piece or separate.

Not planning on using those rims, I just put the first set of 17s I found in my pics gallery and put them on.

I think I'm pretty much out of luck trying to find a mecham wing, so I am going to have to have one fabricated. I may attempt to do it myself starting with a spare wing.

I mean I did make a fiberglass center console one day and it turned out ok. If I take my time, I might be able to get it to look as good as the original. If not, I'll just take it down to the custom automotive fabrication shop to have it finished.

Unless you changed the seats, that's not my car. Proud as I would be to see you use it. And I am one in the same....JBADGTA is my AIM/MSN name.

And for those that care - the insurance has in fact totalled the 87 GTA. I laugh daily at their offer - 3000 and they take the car. Funny stuff They're going to have to add 2000 and the car to it or they're hearing from my lawyer.

i would keep the ground effects and spoiler and mabe go with a ram air hood instead of the GTA hood to make it look just a little more out of the ordinary

Lol, I have changed my mind about what I want to do with my car completly. I still think that idea looks very good, but its not remotely going to look like what I have planned now.

Lol, I don't think so. I'm sure most of you guys are tired of my ideas since I have a different one every other day. So I will spare the details on it for now.

After spending yet another week trying out different combinations, I came back to the TA/Z28 GFX idea, except I'll just change the wing and get some 17s. 17s really are quite a difference over the GTAs. I'm still not sure what 17s I want to get yet, as long as they do not cost more than $275 per rim for at least 17 X 8s.

I used Zepher's formula for the side pic. I think this looks even better than one I did at the top of the page.

I have plans to have the turn signals and foglights mounted as one unit. I never liked the turn signals so close to each other, especially when the lights are flipped up, so I will blank that section out, just like how I did with the tails. So I will have clear turnsignals.
