Thirdgen Nationals PIC
Hi,
Well, the weekend is over and the show was a huge success I think. I was too busy to get an exact car count, but we had 70-80 3rd Gens there.
Here's a great pic someone got. It only shows one row of the show.
Be sure to check out the Nationals Regional board for the next few days for more pics.
Also, we got some great video footage thanks to Kat and others . It may take awhile to get it into digital format though.
Oh, and keep a lookout for Thirdgen Nationals '04

i'm keeping most options open. next time it won't be at a fairgrounds, learning experience, too much $.
I want to find someone with a lot of land.
I'm thinking no farther west than TN, but it might be in MD, PA, NC, VA who knows.
One thing I've learned is you can't please everyone.
But, I'm taking a month or so off from the show, and not worrying about planning next yrs, until next month.
but , we got plenty of pics still being posted about this one.
for that many to show up to a 1st yr event is great, wait till next

do it in illinois. central location with a lot of dragstrips available to rent out. If we could get into Rt.66 that would be sweet. Is there a possiblity of getting a magazine or some auto-parts company to sponser the event?? I know a lot of companies out there sponser or co-sponser car shows and such. Maybe if someone put up some financial backing we could get a big venue. I think the key would be to get coverage from magazines such as Super Chevy, GMHTP, Hot Rod, and others. Being the first group to get a gen specific show with big backing and coverage would be sweet. We all know that 1st gens get the majority of the coverage in the media but I dont think there has ever been a generation specific event to go really big. Just some food for thought.

Yeah, and Rt 41 drag strip isn't far away. I've got plenty of land and I'll pay for all the food and drinks. I'm hoping to have about 100 cars for my annual Memorial Day party so whether or not it becomes the Thirdgen Nationals '04 it will still be BIG!!!

He's got the whole crew of NW Indiana, and Chicago IL too! When denny throws a party we come. ^_^
When he threw it last time the caravan to his house totaled 16 or 17 cars! And about 25 to 30 cars there all together. Why, denny even brought his 1982 TA out for us! My *** it sounded MEAN!!
