how to protect chrome exhaust tips?

I just put on new Chrome tips on my car. They are split tips that go straight and stick out about a 1 1/2"-2". I hope to have pics up soon.

Anyway, what can I put on them to keep them nice, shiny, and rust free? The ones I had before rusted and pitted a bit. The tips get real hot so I doubt any wax would work.

Thanks,

Matt

yes, pam will keep them clean, the dust/dirt wont stick to it, it also works well on rims if u get alot of brake dust on them

I just use eagle one nevr-dull, and then in between washes I use windex on them... works pretty good for me, but I don't drive my car through rain and what not to get them that dirty to begin with....

Just keep them clean.... keep the rust from starting to begin with, and it should be all good...

Pam? Never even thought of it. I think I'll give it a try.

Thanks,

Matt

I've used WD-40 on a regular basis on our 2000 Mustang GT 'vert's tips (stainless steel) since it was new and they still look as shiny as the day we drove her home. Just a little shot on a rag to wipe them down when we dry off the car every week does the trick.
