engine compartment asthetics

i was out in the garage earlier, doing some work on the big Interior Restoration Project 2003 and i snapped a photo of my scummy engine bay.

anyway, here's some plans of mine

1. new air intake hose (completed) - temporary solution until i get something professionally made / buy something pre-made (not bad for under 20 bucks at the hardware store)

2. the plenum. given all the fantastic information on polishing that is available here on the boards, i'll be cleaning up the plenum and runners sometime in the near future.

3. a cheap and easy way to clean up the engine bay, i'm following the example of others and will be buying new coolant / washer containers from the dealer.

4. the headers. rusted and full of holes, these things have to go. (any one have some advise on this matter? brands, etc.)

I'll also be just plain-old cleaning the bay itself. if anyone has advise or comments or questions about any of the above, bring em on, please and thanks.

LOL, like the pic.....

Whatever brand you go with for headers, make sure for some Jet-Hot or Ceramic coating to protect them.....

I highly second the headers. Even though they sit low in the engine bay, they do stand out.
