Has anyone ever bought the black sealed beamed

My one friend told me he had a set of Black pixel sealed beams on his car 4 yrs ago. JC Whitney said they stopped making them, does anyone know who did, Or would it be easier to just go out and buy empty housings and stick in blue blubs or go with the sliver stars?

The Lenses would appear black during the day, then would be 4 times brighter then the standards beams you use today at night.

These sealed beams were made by Phillips. I don't think they make them anymore.

Anyway, there's a black honeycomb grate behind the lens. This is what makes the lamp appear black when the lamp is off. The light shines through grate normally when the lamp is on.

IIRC, they only size they came in were the large single square sealed beam (Firebird size).

Light output was the same as regular old halogen sealed beams.
