will a "real" 4th gen spoiler work?

i've never really stopped over here on the appearance board, but i've liked what i've seen so far, you guys all have excellent looking vehicles, and i'm very impressed with what you're doing w/ innovations and whatnot, keep it up. Anyway, to the question, i've got a T/A spoiler from a 4th gen transam, my friend and myself are re-firbing it so i can put it on my firebird and i was wondering if i would encounter any problems. It's going on a 85 firebird w/ the decklid wing, i do know i'll be filling holes as we learned fter doing a "test fit" but i was wondering if this "real" 4th gen spoiler will differ from the aftermarket 4th gen spoiler that's available. Thanks in advance.

The real 4th gen spoiler will leave about a 1 gap between the middle two posts and the decklid.

I think the brake lights on the real one look better than the 3rd gen 4th gen one.

You'll have to extend the center pedestals on it, but if you got it for free/cheap its definetally worth it, it has been done.

From what I heard, you also have to sand down the end mounting points to since the 4thgen decklid is more curved down than thirdgens.
