My new custom grille
My new custom grille
I cut a old RS grille up that i had laying around and put the fogs in it. What do you think?I also have my stock Z28 grille out being painted body color with some custom artwork.

I think it looks like you cut an RS grill to make fog lights fit. I'm not a fan of round fog lights on a Camaro to begin with, but cutting an RS grill around them definately adds to the cheese factor.

I agree with above as far as the round little fog lights go they just don't look right on a third gen. I also think just tacking foglights on the front of the grill like that makes it look like a cheap half assed add-on.

I don't like it. I'm with Jim once again. I never liked when people put round or oval fogs in the Z28 grille. I've seen people who have cut the RS grille, and so far I've never liked it.
But at least you're keeping the car

The alternative is in the works. I am having the "CAMARO" shaved off the stock one and then it's gonna be painted body color with some artwork on it... I think something like a botie with a flag in it somehow. I told the artist to have at it and use his best judgment. We shall see how it turns out
I'll post pics ASAP....
And to u guys that don't like this grille thanks for your honest opinions. They really matter to me as I think sometimes people do things in bad taste but they don't know it cause everybody humors them. Keep the constructive criticism coming

Yeah I don't think it looks bad...square little lights would look better but at least they're oval and not a circle. You also seem to have done some good measureing because they don't look out of place or anything =) Since its temporary there is nothing wrong with it. Then again I also own a firebird so I dunno =)

Anyway... I'm looking forward to seeing pics of your new grill. Do me a favor... if you can install it and take pics before you put the artwork on it (i.e. just shaved and painted), I'd appreciate it. I've seen that same thing done on the LS1 camaros and it looks fantastic. It'll be great to see how it looks on a thirdgen.

Thumbs down to the RS grill! I am just not a fan of that grill tho thats why I took it off mine and went w/ a iroc grill!
Well it seems we're divided by these groups:
1) The ones that like it because its different.
2) The ones that hate it because the lights aren't square.
3) The "I bought an IROC, like hell i'm puttin' RS **** on it!" people.
4) The ones that are OK with it because its temporary.
I myself fall into all of the above groups and see every side of the coin. Thanks for all the input and comments. I like this place because everyone is so critically honest, and thats a good thing.

If that was your only grill, than I would have to say it makes a plain grill look much better. I'm sure your other one should look alot better than the modified RS, but all in all, it doesn't look too bad to me.

Honestly, I liked the seemless rs grill. I like foglights behind the grill for that now you see them now you don't look. I don't like the rs grill cut up like that, looks wierd. Doesn't look bad though, just unusual.
