I think the red might look nice. I wonder how it would look all red with a black bowtie

I'm thinking about making a cloan of this car here.

All done, I like it, we'll see how long I like it, if it starts to change I can just pull it back off and paint it black.

I think it will look better black but thats just my 2 cents

I agree with making it black too, that front end needs some contrast to it.

sweet car, i love the 91-92's with the hood blisters, red, and with those GFX and spoiler. nice car, and i like it red, but i say go with black heritage stripes and keep it all red with a black bowtie.

Yeah I hear ya, thats gonna be the hardest part, finding a shade that matches better. The paint has been on the urathane since January 1990. Its obviously not as bright as the new stuff so I gotta search for another shade that matches better.Originally posted by 89cmrodriver

I think I am gonna leave it red. repaint the bow tie (looks like crap up close) and get some heritage stripes.
if that matched the color of the car itd look really sweet. maybe paint the bowtie black kinda like a reverse color scheme
I think black would look better, red makes it look like the 82-84 front ends looked.

Doesn't look bad, but I think it would look better black to match with the headlight pockets.

dosen't look bad....but I just like the look of the black in the front nose....looks more aggressive to me

Filling license plate holes in the insert sure looks familiar. When I bought mine I didn't realize it had the holes in it, boy was that fun
I really like the all red look. When I redid mine, I painted it black on black, instead of doing the "camaro" in silver. It's cool cause from a distance you don't really notice it, but it's a nice "up close" kind of detail.
Are you going to put fog lights in, or something else at the back of the insert?

I like black better. gives the front some character IMO. All red jsut looks too plain. I prefer black headlight pockets too and the grill seems out of place not being black with them.

black grill = mean look
all camaro's that had some power to them had a blacked out grill.. another vote for black and red bowtie... whenever i see a black grill and a red bowtie, i think power... thats just a me thing i guess... maybe not.

sorry brian.... i don't care for the red grill.
it needs to contrast a bit, hence the black grill.
but kudos for trying something different.
