What is your absolute favorite color for a Camaro?

A while down the line, I wanna get my teal RS painted. I like the teal color, because for one - I get a lot of compliments, and two - it sticks out a bit. I wanna keep it that way, where it stands out, but I also want a darker color that's really nice (something that could handle white/bright silver stripes or something).

I know I sound like I'm just dreaming, but atleast I have those dreams.

I say red but then again Im a bit partial.

 

I think Camaros look nice in white. =)

Someone posted a really nice blue color in one of these topics a few days ago. It belongs to some new car. I'm trying to remember. It was awesome. The more I think about it the more I like it. Now if I could only find that topic...

Personally I like a dark/middle blue color. Basic, but "dangerous". lol

I know you're new, but be sure to check out the search feature. Most of the time you can find a few old posts that already have the answers to your questions in them.

Anyway, my favorites are black, sunset orange metallic, and gunmetal grey.

 

Can't go wrong with black. Im also a fan of red though.

 

I'm gonna have to vote for black as well, when it's clean.

I never was a fan of silver till i got mine done and i fell in love with it i dont see any thirdgens with the shade mine now is. It's steel alloy mettalic and is really flakey looking so it stands out. However i always had a thing in my heart for yellow f-bodys so as soon as mine sells i'm getting a 92 yellow formula a guy is holding for me.

 

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with Viper blue when I'm done with the suspension and drive train mods.

 

I have seen teal cars with white heritage stripes and thought they look pretty good. While teal is not my favorite color, you seem to like it alot and changing colors is sometimes so damn expensive to be done right, you might as well sell your car and buy one the color you want if teal doesnt work for you anymore.

Hey RySeyes, my '91 RS was the stock teal color and I really liked it too. But just like you I wanted to go darker. I had it repainted a dark Metallic Teal and I think it looks great. I haven't seen anyone in all of New Mexico with the same hue of Teal. Here are some pics for you to check out.

Black and silver but I painted mine white I want to paint it again so bad but the new engine is taking up all my money lol.

 

Bright red and black. Camaros/red, Firebirds/black.

 

Electric blue... but not r!cer electric blue, like the thirdgen blue..... but more blue.... lolz i dunno, i liek the arctic white camaros (mostly cuz i have one )

 

Sorry about not replying for so long...I did the body work myself and then took it in to be painted. With the labor and paint it was around $800 which isn't too bad at all.

 

That it?? Not bad. Then maybe that's something I should consider. You don't need stripes if your paint job looks that nice.

Black with red stripes if pretty damn cool as well.....

 

hmmm.. hugger orange or neon green, but im paintin mine galaxy silver....

 

In my book, black is the only color for a sports car.

Even though it isnt a color, I too will say black. NOTHING is sexier than a thirdgen in a brand new black paint job

who the hell told u it isnt a color? lol black is a color and it's black beacouse it doesent reflect any color.

 

Black is "all colors combined" so there for it is not "a" color. It is one of the few things I remember from high school.

 

That car is too damn shiney. I cant even really see the color. That is nice.

i think camaros look best in black. it gives them a sort of stealth look. its just such a paint to keep clean.

That is what I couldnt remember. Are you sure white is not the absents of color? I took art my junior year of high school(95) and dont remember much about all that crap.

white is all colors reflected, black is all colors absorbed

Sun is white light it contains all colors of the rainbow (red green blue indigo violet something like that) when a object relects orange and obsorbes the rest, then the object is seen as orange.
