new style iroc wheel ?

i saw the post about the 2,XXX mile IROC today. oh man that was one bitchin car. i'm a 'bird guy but damn anyway i was looking at hawks today and saw their refinished iroc wheels [pic #1]
later on i was looking for a new shift **** and at shop-momo they have these rims, which look like an updated iroc rim - but that's still true to the iroc look [pic #2]
anyway people who are looking for "new" iroc rims should check it out

Those are the wheels I have. I love the way they look and get compliments about them all the time, but when I scrub them the chrome "flakes" off which makes me mad considering Ive only had them 4 months!!!!

wow, i didn't know if anyone had bought them. if they're only 4 months talk to your distributor, send them pics, and get new ones =) could you post some pics of them on your car ? also, how much were they (roughly). i didn't see any prices listed.

Those don't look like IROC rims, updated or not. Only a tiny bit and IROC's are nicer.

I think they're pretty good looking rims and do resemble IROC rims, and there is nothing wrong with GTR in my book if its coming from Momo.

Well put; I think they look quite nice and would have considered them myself before I got my Z06 rims. Any pics, bigpuncp27?

Am I missing something here? They look identical to everyday Iroc rims, just shiny... what's the big difference?

Re: new style iroc wheel ?

Those rims are freaking beautiful. I have 90 iroc wheels which IMO are the nicest of the iroc rims and no way in hell they look as good.

Yeah, what's the deal? The post originator must have put another image in place of the old one with the same name

Here's a pic of the GTR wheel.

It's not bad, but it doesn't have that concave/deepdish shape, which is what makes the Iroc wheel, if you ask me.

Not bad, but not for me, I like the Iroc wheel better. Actually, I've never seen a wheel I like better than the Iroc!

New generation IROC's

My vote for a new generation IROC wheel definately goes to this set of ENKEIS, originally suggested by MrDude_1: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...odeIndex=60950

I guess I agree with the people above, kinda r icey... I love the stock Iroc wheels!

Of course, I'm always for anything different, like my 84 Z. It had Monte Carlo LS rims on it, and I think it looked fantastic!

Actually, GM did make an "new" iroc rim....so to speak. The new ZQ8 wheel.

The S10/ZQ8 borrowed from the Cammie, why not take a cue from the newerS10 and slap these on a 'maro.

i had that exact idea when those wheels first came out

i dont like any of the wheels on this page except the stock GM ones obviously

GM wheels are like a sore male sexual organ in the lower abdominal area.........................their hard to beat

It's funny that you say that.

I could give you a list a mile long of things that GM has messed up, but their wheels are second to NONE! ...even aftermarket companies can't match GM's wheels.

Both Iroc wheels
Both ZQ8 wheels
Both ZR1's...Y2K's....Z06's...and of course the vette rallies
the formy/TA rims...GTA honeycombs...2003 WS6 rims
Impala SS wheels
Ever see the mid 90's Tahoe limited wheels? OMG! (Ronal i think)
...the list is WAYYYY toooooo long.

Well... these rims are stock GM. I like them, but seems like no-one else does

I really like the ZQ8 rim, that would look killer on a white Iroc!
