Lenghtened Camaro Nose

I found this on projectcamaro.com. They lenghtened a thirdgen camaro nose and it kinda looks like a forthgen front. Kinda cool and thought I would share. http://www.projectcamaro.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1094

Looks like something out of a cartoon. Like if some big hand grabbed the headlight pockets and pulled out then it stuck in place hehe.

I don't like how theres a curve toward the center of the headlights and not on the other. Looks dumb to me.

I think you'd have to be a gen 2 guy to appreciate that. It really makes the car look a lot more like a generation 2 camaro.

Hmmm....

I think it would look a million times better with the front ground effect/spoiler attached to the front. It looks weird the way it is.

Original none the less!!!

Simply put... FUNKY. It's cool to see some moddin' but it seriously looks like something is missing (ie. lower GFX). It's cool to see some custom work but it's just a little odd.

He is incrediblely talented and it looks amazing but if i could have done it my way i would have extended the front all the way around to make it smoother and look more like a new camaro front end. then add a front spoiler then some smooth looking ground effects with it then i think it would look totaly sweet but then it would basically be a fourth gen so to save time been easier to buy a fourth gen but im glad it didnt end up in the grave yard

i love it, just change the rims , lower it an inch and add the custom ground effects, the one part i love is the hatch.

Looks something like those terrible looking LS1's. Add GFX.

good work but....
I wana make sure I got this right... cause I know Im not the only one that drives a thirdgen on this board. I have major problems with having the nose to long NOW, why would one make it longer? Dont wana crash the party here, but to me it looks like crap. More power to the guy who did it. That is some nice work with the nose and all, but very 2nd/4th generation looking with the large grill. I dont think gfx would save it, unless he made a custom set. I like the original nose because thats what sets off each generation. Why bother change one of the staples of the thirdgen camaro? Oh well. :lala:

that is very talented....I think it looks more like the 98 and up Z28's....how the head light pockets are more rounded and stuff...I think I'll stick with my nose though

Alright, I had to see what this mo would look like with some lower GFX so here we go:

Stage I: The original

Stage II: Front and Side GFX Added

Stage III: 91/92 Wheels Added

Stage IV: New headlights, Clear Sidemarker, and New Front Grille

I think in the last picture it looks better the ground effects did help it out.

I like the fourth picture the best....but am not crazy about it. If I had that kind of time and money my car would run and go faster.

As seems to be the general consensus, excellent craftsmanship but I don't care for the end result.

By the way tpiroc, excellent Photoshopping!

lots of hard work. Aside from the headlight pockets...The transition from the extended grill to the each side of the nose should be gradual IMO (right across the turn/park light). With the quick transition it has now it looks like a big rectangle pushing out on the nose. It has to have ground effects on it, I never liked the high-up SC type nose.

Picture IV is awesome.

But that car would look 100x better with some black outs. As of now, it is pretty cool, but the headlights are sitting way to far back.

i never really saw how the heck they got the nose of the 93 camaro out of the 92.... but seeing how this looks i can see how the camaro "evolved" from 3rdgen to 4thgen.. its like the missing link.. lol. i can see it now.

GM exec: make the nose longer, and the windshield more swept back
GM artist: **lengthens nose**

GM exec: now longer.... and make it more pointed....

ect......
