Laugh, look at how badly they are offset... I had what you had.

I have the same problem now with the offset, was under the car doing the exhaust (new flowmaster with new pipes & tips) and centered it on the gas tank, well, it's not centered....

getting that fixed on monday... as well as a cutout for my cat.

I think these cars look way better w/o any tailpipes then any tailpipe/tip combo you could have.

Those look good nolan. I think that they look good w/o tailpipes too. What I think would look really good is to cut holes out of the bottom of the bumper and make it in the bumper kinda like the back bumpers of newer GT mustangs. I dunno if I want to do that though.

Hmmm...the Z28 4th Gen tips look good, but I honestly think that 2.5" or 3" slant cut tips would look better. Oh, I have a quick question (idea), has anyone ever modified their exhaust so that the tips come out the side in FRONT of the rear tires? Wonder how that would look...

I like no tips at all on our cars except 91-92 Z28's /w the newer Z28 tips like Nolan has. I think it looks so awesome next to the sharp lines of the ground effects and the boxy look of the aero-wing they get.

That will be my next purchase to add to the garage, a 91-92 Z hardtop, black on black with polished factory rims.

i personally think that the 4th gen tips just look "right" on our cars. but everyone knows about opinions, right? they're just like @$$holes, everyone has one, and they all stink

i agree, i like the 4th gen tips a lot. they really compliment the angles and lines on our cars. i'm gonna hopefully get some for my car someday... 'cause i need to get rid of the ones i've got... they're 3" slants, but they're rusted bad and way out of line. off with 'em!

my only question about running it without tips is if the exhaust fumes ever find their way up into the car? if not, i may just go cut mine off now until i get a new cat-back.

josh, i'm not an expert but i've heard its a lot of work to actaully run your tail pipes through your bumper. gotta do a lot of protecting form heat or it'll actaully melt your paint / bumper. could be wrong, but that's what i've heard. hope it helps! btw, it looks a lot better!

Found it on ebay...I don't remember the username but IIRC he owned a decal website. That decal actually was curved to fit the windshield of a 4th gen, but It worked for me. I have the receipt to it at home. I'll let you know if i remember to look.

EDIT: Found it in my ebay feedback...its www.decalstore.com and his ebay ID is decalstore.com

Here is one that he has listed:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6769

Good luck.

Of course I remember it...you were the only one with a GTA that was there! I like the 3" slant cut...I wouldn't want them sticking out past tge bumper though, I would want them to be flush with the bumper.

joshp14 i got the tips on ebay , their brand new s.s. z28 style tips , they were 70 bucks on ebay , you can get them with a 2.25 or 2.75 inlet. I saw a car that had the rear bumper cut out for the tips.

i really like the 4th gen tips too. too bad my muffler only has 1 outlet oh well, it's hidden anyway, so it doesn't matter.
