Painting my hood, temp. fix...advice

Well I had to go out and buy a used RS hood so my hood would clear the new engine....the hood is a different color. My paint isn't the "greatest" to begin with (stupid crap GM primer) but my car is black....I plan on painting my car this spring anyways (still deciding if i should do it myself or pay someone) but I just want to sand the hood down and spray on something that will last for a couple months. I'm not looking for anything special, just want it to not peel off under the sun etc.

Any suggestions? I just figured since the hood is pretty flat I'll just mask it off (damn our hoods are heavy, hell with taking it off) sand it with 400 real good, fill in a couple little dents, primer and spray it.

I'm looking for primer/paint suggestions....something in a can would be my preference for convienience....

thanks....i figure even if the black doesn't match "perfectly" it'll look better until i get my car painted and I get a new hood.
