nose question

Allright i have to get a new nose for my iroc my two questions are what year did they switch over to the newer style (i believe it was 87?). The second question is okay the ones i currently have now have the fog lights and theres that bit of body that is inbetween the two lights.....i have also seen the nose where it has the grill accross it does that nose still have the piece of body where the two fog lights would be seperated by?? or is it just a big open hole. If it is a big open hole which cars did it come on?

By "piece of body" do you mean the piece that holds the license plate? I'm a little confused.

The front bumper cover "nose" is the same for all 85-92 camaros except the 85-87 sportcoupe camaros. The grills are different in some ways but they all use some screws to hold them onto the bumper. The Foglights use bracktes that are attached to the frame or somewhere on the front end IIRC> If I recall correctly.

okay what are the 85-87 sport coupe like? Basically what im looking at is i guess cutting that center piece out because im just going to have a big open hole covered with mesh and im going to do some cutting behind it so that i can make a gigantic ram air hole....is cutting that piece out my best bet?

This is a 85-87 sportcoupe front bumper, as you can see it cant be used with ground effects

So your basically wanting to cut out the front grille mounting section of the front bumper. I think it will be just fine to do that. You shouldnt have any structrual problems since you will have the front spoiler on there.
