Cheesy Videos of the Z!!

Hey uh, my roomate put some headers on his 03 altima and he filmed some of my car at the same time, so i decided to show u guys, there are 2 videos

first is of our exhausts

http://home.comcast.net/~activetuning/hsheaders.wmv

second is we were down at northern parkway (local illegal racing place) just goofin off...

the first scene is of a viper, i raced him for a good 10 mins, unfortunealty we didnt get that on camera cuz my roomate couldnt keep up, but it was pretty even, viper could pull on me some thou, we both had blondes in the car, so if his bitch was screaming as much as athe one in my car, it was more annoying then fun

yes i got myself handed to me by a 5.0 down there, considering he had on some big old drag radials and my low profile 18 inch tires, he tore me off the line, by the time i finally got some traction he was 4 cars ahead lol

the last race was a new gt, he tore me off the line by 2 cars, then i caught up and rolled right by him , and then that same 5.0 that beat me flew past both of us, in the rear trailing is a new z28

PS: notice how when my roomate is filming my exhaust, the camera shakes because he got scared, thought that was cool :lala: :lala:

just for reference, both cars sound 100 tiems better in person, just the camera doesnt do justice

you got the loudmouth system right? zz4 and HSR correct? yeah. six speed and all. just to let you know, your old 700r4 is working great in my car.(bought it from thirdgenresources) i haven't driven on the road just yet, but it moves around and i put it on jack stands and it goes through all gears really well. with my motor, i think i am going to have to get a higher stall converter, i am having a hard time keeping the thing still!

jason's car is about the baddest sounding street driven car i know, that is, till i get my exhaust on mine! my little 310 is going to scare the crap outta alot of 350 owners.

ROTFLMFAO

oh man , that got me goin... i dont like the way it sounds either, i tell him this, but since his car is 2003, they dont really make many parts for it yet, so he bought one of the only like 3 mufflers out for it, and he put headers, race pipe (remove cats and resinator) and well thats what it sounds like... he wants it to sound better, but no idea how yet

btw, thx for the compliments

Sweet man, sounds mean as hell.. I'm about to get the Loudmouth myself and I hope the cops don't bother me.. But I'm usually very careful about it and the difference is I have a factory cam, won't have long tubes and I do have a cat so it should be significgantly quieter than yours I have the same wheels as you too!

sweet vids, 1991 Z-28. i agree that the altima doesnt sound good on the video, but i've heard some of those nissan v6's with exhaust and they dont sound bad when they are idling or are in low rpm's.... i have a buddy thats got a maxima with exhaust and it sorta burbles and is pretty mellow and deep in the areas mentioned above

though it's not a 3rd gen of any sort, my '72 sedan deville is runnin open headers, luckily no cop in phoenix cares.... nothing like a 472ci straight piped engine floored, it actually induces headaches.

Put the Resonator(s) back on that Altima. Trust me, they deepend the sound tremendously. My buddy got his exhaust done on his Accord. Sounded like the worst thing you could possibly imagine from an Import. But after 150$ he wasnt goign to get a new muffler again, so he was told to put a resonator on it. He did, now it sounds deep and not annoying as hell.

For the very small amount of $$ put a resonator on, I'm sure he'll love the difference it makes.

Yeah I already told his room mate he needed to add a resonator as soon as i got done putting in the headers and fired it up. For future reference, never do headers on any v6 FWD car.

The Z sounds intimidating. ^_^ I loved how the camera jumped when you revved it.

BTW, I believe I have finally found the creators of the "Snow Day" video I have hosted on my web space.

Both your car, AND the Altima are in it, along with a WRX doing a VERY nice impression of a snow blower. :lala:

That video clip makes your car sound about half as loud as it really is. I remember your car from thirdgen nationals. You rolled up and it sounded good so everyone looked. Then you revved it and about half the people at the meet **** themselves. Its loud.

Sounds good until you let off. Then it kinda pops and crackles alot. Sounds good until then IMO. Car is sweet thought I liked it. Just way to loud for me.

Evanescence - My Last Breath

You can find it on their "Fallen" CD. This is the same group that did "Bring Me to Life" featured in Dare Devil.

yeah it sounds aewsome, the reason it was crackling and popping is because i was showing the guy in my car how it doest that, i was at like my red line and i let go of the gas keeping it in gear, to show him how bad it pops and cracks, but when im driving that never happens, and you never hear it anywhere near that bad

I bet a bullet muffler in place of the resonator would get rid of alot of that crackling.

I still think it sounds awesome though. :hail:

Don't get around much? I simply can't imagine a ZZ4 with headers/resonator could touch most cars around here. Hell, I know of several 5.0s alone that would take the "loudest car on the street" title - WITH mufflers.

Looks like you've got a good running car there Keep representing the thirdgens...

Any times for the car?

The exhaust soudns loud and all, but I thought it sounded like a weed wacker... More so on the Camro. I seriously thought the guy taping the video pull started a chainsaw (camera wobble). The I relaized it was the car. I sure hope that it only sounds high pitched in the video, that beast better rumble LOL.

I'm really liking the wheels and paint though

Loud isn't everything. It sounds good, just need to get rid of that rasp. Sorry, but there's no way that you kept even close to a viper. They're dogs, but there's still no way a ZZ4 would even be close. My customer has a '00 Viper with K&N filters and aftermarket rocker arms and it went 11.40 on DR's. Thats a good 2 seconds faster than what you're running.

Agreed, i prefer silent stealth and surprise. The Viper difinitely wasn't giving it all that it had because a bone stock one is good for very low 12's at worse. But, It doesn't mean that jason didn't keep up with the one he raced that i witnessed. I can't wait till mine is back on the road again.:lala:
