Polishing aftermaket wheels!

I am planning on garaging my 'bird for the winter and doing a complete clean and redo of the body and wheels. The one problem I have with the wheels is that they are NOT five-spoke rims, but they look kind of like a ninja star with six spokes. I want them to shine pretty well when I bring the 'bird out for the first time in the spring. I also want to clean up the backs of the rims pretty good since they are brown from road and brake debris. I have been thinking of using a Dremel tool or something of that sort with a flexshaft and then the various attachments to polish them up pretty good. What do you think? (I am not a pro, so I ask the pros!)

Also, does anyone have any idea where I can purchase some of the older American Racing center caps? They look just like some of the center caps that came on Camaro rims (round with a black hex pattern in the middle), except that they are completely silver and have a chrome/plastic label in the center saying "AR", are conical, and are bolted onto the wheels. I have already contacted ARE about this and have yet to get a response.
