PICS of Home Made CAI

I was able to put this whole thing together for $28. Not sure its really any more cold air than the stock, basically drawing air in from the same spot, but with the open element should help it inhale a little better. At the very least it looks alot better than stock. What do you think?

Well I guess to be literally correct its not entirely homemade more like pieced together. I found that canister with the air filter element on ebay its a OBXRacing or something was the name on it probably made for imports, then it was 3" aluminum tubing with a 45* bend. I had a hard time tracking down a 3" connector. Finally found one 3" x 3" at Vic Hubbard, couple hose clamps and I was done.

Have you driven the car since it was completed, have you noticed a seat of the pants difference? Nice job all the same.

I wouldn't think that allows anymore cooler air than the stock one. The true CAI is placed outside of thre engine bay.

you will notice a bit more if you put it outside of the bay...this of course requires some more work though. looks nice.
