i wonder if you could take your headrest covers off and have them screen printed? that seems like it wouldn't cost that much and would prolly hold up quite a bit better
as far as the iron on goes i'm not really sure how well those work but i remember having some of those as a kid and it always seemed like they cracked apart and faded after a while

as far as iron on goes you can buy special paper and print them off your computer, but i agree it would probably be much better to take them somewhere to have them done professionally

I agree that iron-ons look cheesy. Why not take the headrests off and have them embroidered? There are companies that make custom embroidered hats & shirts- they can probably do your headrests. It would look a lot better and last a lot longer.

Its not that bad an idea. I had a Firebird shirt made at a place where they have both silk screening and iron on transfer film. For the iron on transfer stuff you can only have a one color design. Its thick film and once ironed it is very similar to silk screening. Its on there for good. I've had the shirt for almost a year and its been through the wash its good share of times and it still looks the same. I believe the shirt will fade long before anything happens to the design. The design was computer cut by this machine...you can give them any picture...not so complicated of course so its better for text and simple pictures...and they'll clean it up on the computer and run it through the machine.

Does any know how much it would cost to embroider TRANS AM into the head rest of a vinal seat. I am talking about the actual logo not just plain text, so they would have to scan a pic and clean it up.

to do the logo it would cost quite a bit more for embroidering cause they have to do a "thread Count" that determines what the machine will embroider but just script would be fairly inexpensive cause the machines have thousands of different fonts they can print in so you could surely almost match factory TransAm lettering
