1LE vs. Stang

Moderators, please delete the previous post with not image.

I hope this is where this belongs. Here's a shot of my car stock and my buddies 91 stang. It's a photo I took about 2 years ago and made a 50" long print that hangs in my garage.

I actually didn't when that photo was taken. His car "was" an Edelbrock poster child, everything from cam, heads, intake, water pump, headers...you name it. He used to smoke me till I when through mine...now he's reading my license plate from behind.

One of the cars looks awesome, the other looks like a shoebox on wheels. I'll let you guess which is which.

I dont know how people can like that look of the 5.0's? The body gaps are huge, the gfx look like crap, and something about the headlights, the side makers and the headlight never line up? Sooo ugly, that picture was ruined by one yellow stain.

Nice 1LE

I am a mustang fanatic and I loved the look of the 5.0's....That is what I was gonna buy but couldn't find one in my price range when I was looking so I got the TransAm..... I would still trade my car in today for someone with an equally as nice mustang as my trans.........................................................................................LMAO...............Sorry the laughter just couldn't be held back...But I do love the 60's and 70's musang and the new 2005 mustangs...

Nice pic of two sweet cars. I'd rather have a LX over a GT.....

Wow you have a 1LE Camaro...thats awesome. I like the picture...ultimate Ford vs. Chevy rivalry.

also im amazed how biased some of you are. Quality? Neither ford or Chevy were all that great..i wouldnt say either was better then each other. The 5.0 i think looks fine i mean i still like the look of camaros more but the mustang wasnt bad id still perfer a 5.0 over an import...

Muscle cars. Unless you have a v6, then its a sport coupe.

True sports cars have two seats, with an emphasis on handling rather than straight line acceleration.

haha, I dislike those years of mustangs. They look like Escorts w/ body kits. I have seen a few good lookin mustangs that I really liked. People always think I dislike a guy cuz he drives a stang......I have more respect for him than a damn honda/toyota/acura/mitsubishi owner. I think we should band together and get imports erased off the earth.

wasn't that what 5.0s were intended for?

That's the main reason I'm redoing the car this year. Well, that and the hundred or so rattles, the leaking valve guide seals, etc.

here's mine, 2 friend of mine face to face, unfortunately the stang kick the camaro butt... camaro is almost stock (gear, lowered with an exhaust) , the stang is deep in the 12's... but for the look, GM's got it all IMO

LOL!!!!! A friend of mine has a '92 Mustang Cobra, he had to jiggle the keys every time he turned it on to get his blinkers working and his E-Brake light is stuck on. He got the key thing fixed...Every time I get in his car, I say hey, your E-Brake is on. He checks it real fast, looks at his dash, and says, "I hate you."

i hate to tell ya guys, chevy are no better. u ever work on camaro and see a bolt and ur friends asks what you need as far as the next tool is. Ans you gotta tell him " I don't have the right tool", over $15,000 in tools and i don't have an E8 socket. oh and using locktite on 1/2 a bolt here and there wouldn't hurt.

but i love my camaro, (i really do, i just hate GM)

yeah, is there a site that lists the stock quarter mile times of like a bunch of cars, and a bunch of years or something?

I just wanna do a little comparison of stuff, so I can pull up next to the Mustang at the light, or a turboed Lancer evo perhaps, and know if I'll be able to beat him/her in a drag, or whatever...

there is a site, Its called 0-60 times or some crap like that, i had it before but i had to reformate my computer and lost it. I do remember some of the mustangs had slightly faster 1/4 times than the f bodies of the same year.I used to like that when i had a mustang but now i dont

Thats pretty much what me and my buddy Joe want to do. Take a pic of his 5.0 Mustang GT beside my 5.0 TransAm. I know his GT would blow my TransAm away in a race seeing as I have the L03 and a TBI setup which isn't known for its outstanding stock performance...but still the pic would be cool to have.
