Need some color ideas for the new engine.......

I'm getting a custom cold air intake built for my LS1 engine......

Kandied91Z brought up a cool idea and i wanted to get input from the rest of you guys.....

1) Chrome Cold Air Intake & Chrome LS1 intake manifold

2) Teal Tinted Chrome Air Intake & Teal Tinted Chrome LS1 manifold

Basically should the air intake and intake manifold both be chrome, or should they be a transparent teal laid over the chrome???

Just got a couple of comments. Those colors are nice but think of something else, what other colors go with teal? I'm thinking there is such a thing as too much chrome and your going to be nearing it, leaving no room for chrome alternator and stuff like that. If your going to chrome everything why not the LS1 itself? I mean that would be interesting but make sure everything else is a very shiny black to contrast the chrome. Maybe a black chrome mixture. But think of other ideas, I know your going for a show car, but too much chrome is, well, too much chrome. Either one big thing (engine) or a bunch of small things (alternator, cold air was good, brackets... ya know what I mean)

Your welcome,
Shane

1 vote for chrome cold ait intake and chrome ls1 intake,if the top of the intake has groves do chrome and teal paint, just my opinion, I like chrome but some people don't,depends on if your going to show the car, I do and I love the mix of chrome and polished alum.

It sounds like a good idea..but clear tinted teal over crome wouldnt look nearly as good as chrome itself, maybee if you put some clear teal rings on the hoses so you could see through them and clear teal inserts elsewhere or maybee saying like LS1 on the chrom or somethign it would look good but if you just cover it with it, itll look to much like a toy car.

"Too much chrome" That's in the same category as too much money or too much fun! Not possible!!!
.
When chrome parts are bolted/fastened to other chrome parts, which are then bolted to more chrome....etc, the results are mindblowing. All the reflections - everywhere, make the brain go into meltdown. Awesome. It gets to a point where everything is so shiny it all blends together! Chrome it all.

Good luck with the car FLYNLOW. Looking good.

Andy.
