iroc wheels ?s

i currently have the stock 16" iroc wheels and i am planning on buying a set of 18". anyone know where is the cheapest place to get a set of 18" iroc wheels (chrome)? also what tire size is best to run with 18s 245/40zr18 or 245/35zr18?
any input is appreciated.

Everyone is about the same price for 18 inch IROC rims. As for the tires I think either one would be fine... their isnt much difference in size from a 40 to a 35. So its up to you. Also if it was me getting the rims I would NOT get them in chrome. I would buy the polished version. Chrome tends to flake and scratch way to easy and is vertually impossible to fix damages. But if u get the polished aluminum ones all u have to do is get a good polish, polish em up, put a polish protector over the wheel and the shine stays for months!!! Most show car guys use the protector on their rims so why not u?...haha thats what i would do, also if I remember right the polished ones are even cheaper!

if i decide to go with the polished, do you think you can get the same shine that chrome has with the aluminum ones all buffed and protected? how about clear coating them? any thoughts?

Chrome always will be a little more shiny than polished. I bet if u got ur hands on some really good polish with a protectant, u will look just like chrome. I think I have heard of people havin their rims powder coated w/ clear to lock in the shine. I've never seen a final product but have heard of it being done.

others chime in an give ur 2 cents on chrome versus polished

The 245/40zr18 will be closer to maintaining the overall OEM dimensions when compared to 245/35zr18. As for chrome vs polished, its more of a personal preferance than anything. I prefer polished over chrome, but thats just me. To give you and idea of what the 245/40zr18 tire setup will look like, here is a pic of my front wheels. They are different style wheels, 18x8 with 245/40/18 tires:

CrazyHawaiian: Those are some sharp wheels.

Shaolin: I don't know if you have "Discount Tire" stores where you are, but a guy down the block from me bought his 17" Iroc's there with tires as a package deal. They have good tire prices, so that might be something to check out.
