When I get my engine rebuilt Im going to go all out and paint the engine bay gloss black and the block and heads chevy orange but my runners are faded If I were to spray them with rattle cans what would be good and would last a long time?block paint??high temp??what brands are good for not fading or chipping?

Honestly...dont use a rattle can. Spend the extra money and have it powder coated. Stuff is very durable and looks sweet. When my intake comes off next.....everything is getting coated. Just my opinion though

I recomend dupli-color METALCAST.
I used it a year ago on my valve covers and runners, they still look great!

duplicolor is decent....they don't get that hot so anything should work. high temp would be ideal because of the situation. i painted mine with the same procedure as the car back in the day and they lasted for a long time without any issues.
