both those shades of blue are nice but NEEDforSPEED's car sticks out in particular i think he did a good job with. On some cars i think that blue wouldnt look good but his car looks great.

I vote Pewter.... but I'm biased.

Either pewter or some kind of burnt orange (ex. sunset orange metallic)

Think about the overall look you are going for the car......then pick a color from there

For example

Black w/ red stripes would look stupid on my car......whereas it looks badass on a stock bodied Z28

I think t-top cars look best in light colors, especially white, and hardtops look best in darker colors. Polo green, black, and pearl white are among my favorites.

the problem with using a pure silve base is that the candy colors not only fade quicker but they can't be as deep looking as gold....here is the orange, ask and you shall recieve....

another problem with candies is that it doesn't show up well at all in pictures like other colors....not to mention that picture is a 2.4m picture but i had to reduce it to post so you loose all the sparkle effect.

there isn't a color out there that can outshine a candy color in person.

Yep, once of these days. right now Im more conserned with finishing off the vert conversion, adding the sfc's and tieing the 8point cage into it. finishing off my 92Z wing on the glass deck lid and smoothing out the end caps to make it look right.

and collecting parts for the 418 Twin Turbo motor. Just need a crank and pistons now. and make a cam selection.

Im deff. doing the HOK blue but I want something more to it. either silver ghost tribal flames, stripes or I dono what..

kandied- that was at camaro superfest at WCC summer of 03 correct? IF so, yes that car was amazing, but my dad and friend agreed that yours was one of the most eye catching.

Oh by the way, I park in that spot sometimes for class, that the pearl orange is parked in.

o'yeah well thank your dad and friend for the kind thoughts....yes the candy orange truly was amazing....there was a candy red one same style the year previous that was breathtaking however he spent almost 25,000 just in paint.

i love my car no doubt but that much for one of these cars is a bit much....however i love to see it.

TPl383 have you tried a gold base coat with the blue your thinking of doing? if you haven't you should try it as you will get a much deeper look to the paint and the brightness or overall color of the blue can be lightened/darkened with different amount of coats....silver is nice but the gold will really bring a candy out. just an idea...

My dream was always to paint my bird Candy Apple Red. Put a huge black bird on the hood, and have WIDOWMAKER air brushed onto the top area of the bumper.

black is definately nice and clean but it hides the lines of the car....not to mention as a daily driver it shows alot of imperfections.
