Getting what you pay for...
I know its been said 1000 times before. When it comes to cars, you get what you pay for...sometimes an extra $100 can really make or brake a mod down the road. But is it the same for rims? I am not talking about POS $25 rims, but amungst name brands. Are american racing better than weld, or motegi, oz, enkei, roh, etc.... Are there certain ones everyone should stay away from?

imo why not keep your stock rims. For a couple hundred bucks a rim youre not going to get anything better then what you have in the first place (unless you have crappy 15X7 wheels) and you could either save that money and put a little more into the wheel budget so youre actually upgrading your rims not downgrading or you could just put the money towards another purpose.

If you had a car like Kandied91z you could justify any amount of money:hail:

slp wants $399 for the 10spoke take-offs. 799 for rims and goodyear tires....not bad if you ask me....(i really love the 10spoke ss rims on thirdgens...only 17" wheel i would ever consider)

The reason I want to get new rims is that I need new tires and I want to get more traction. Obviously it would be a waste of money to buy tires now and then buy tires again when I buy new rims down the road. I say just do it all at once.
