so much for....
dupont paint match, took the gas lid cover to the dupont dealer for a color match, got the mix, sprayed the bumper covers off the car,and when we put them back on the paint is definitely darker shade of red, then told the red paint gets more of an orange look after a while,by the time the bumper covers lighten up the rest be orange????

ok i've been painting for a living for a while now, problem with new paint on an older car is fading of the original paint. due to sun fade you WILL NEVER get a perfect match. its not really a problem ,and sadly theres sweet fa that can be done

had this prob on our s10 many a times applys to anything.
the bed kept rusting out needin work or wed have to add this or that in accessories.
so wed go to local auto body supply and theyd pre mix us some automotive dupont centari brand single stage in an aresol can to match the factory color.
wed spray the bed it be shiner and darker one thgin we found helps to match em is to buff the part ya didnt paint.
or go a lil further n wet sand w/ 2000 or finer like 3000 then take some rubbin compound and do the rest of the car then take some wax to it. w/ a buffer.
or u could make it more evolved and more stages by using hand glaze and machine glaze n stuff.
