How do you get under your cars? I can barely do it now and it's stock height. Even using a lift the arm catches on my cat.

I have the intrax lowering springs. It is a two man job to get it on a lift. One person had to pull up on the fender, while the other sets the lift. At home my jack is low enough to fit under.

i have to use a custom block . Its a 2x12 by about 20 and then the next layer is a 2x12 by 12 , so the car can step up on . And then i finally can get under it. ANd the rear i just need to use a 2x4 to get under there.

Why use blocks of wood when you can get a jack that is designed for lowered cars?? That's what I use, then I put a jackstand underneath. Seems simple enough!

Same here I use pieces of wood. Back up onto the wood, then use the special jack for lowered cars and it just fits hehe.

Because the wood was a little cheaper than a jack. And I dont have to jack up my car enough to warrant buying a special jack

Where do you get such a jack?? I would love to have one and have looked for one over the last 3 years. I always have to use the stock one to raise the front enough to get the other one under the k-member. It is such a pain.

They are usually called Aluminum Racing Jacks. I've seen them at Sears for around $170. You can usually spot the low profile design by looking at the rollers in the front. Traditional jacks will have two wheels under the jack, these new ones have a single 'steam roller' style roller that makes the front sit lower. Here's an example of the Sears one:

But IMO these ones from Sears are still kind of high. I forget the brand, but there are some out there that are EXTREMELY low profile (and run like $500).

I bought mine at Canadian Tire, seeing as how I live in Canada and all. LOL But seeing as how I can get then there I would imagine you could get them at Sears or Autozone and so on.

Mine has been lowered about 1½" with sportlines and I can still get a regular hydrolic jack under mine.
But I lift the front under the A-arms and rear on the axle.Maybe thats the diffrence. :werd:
