What year did this color come on? Is it an IROC color? I've tried searching and looking on google but got sick of finding nothing Someone help me out here?

 

Pretty sure it was a 91-92 color.

92 Only, called Purple Haze, also know as Hawaiian Orchid Purple... I posted the paint code on here somewhere... oh wait muah ha I still have the build sheet for my old car (just can't let some things go...) paint code - 84Q HAWAII ORH
They also offered a heritage edition with silver stripes but.. good luck finding one

How much would this cost me to get done? The factory "Purple Haze" color and does anyone have any pics of a Z28 with this color?

 

I have a purple Z28, it's not Purple Haze but it's a dull, similar colour. I NEED A RESPRAY !!

 

my car is a "vintage plum pearl met." i like it alot in the sun it looks cool.....it sorta changes colors because of the hi amount of pearl in the paint. to see all the different looks it gives off youll have to cheack out my cardomain page.
if your wondering my paint was from Dupont, the paint code is: M4630
if your going with a different brand of paint get them to match a 2000 honda color with that name.

The other color i kinda wish i went with was the Crysler color "Prowler Purple" dupont paint code B9794

 

always liked that purple haze....very few 92 z's running around with them. alot of rs models in the area though. the green/gold is the hardest to find around here.

 

yup there is a purple haze RS here in my neighborhood...oh and of course fading paint nice big dent in it

it was more then enough as it was acutally a quite popular option particularly in the female driven v6 cars. i remember when i was looking for a 91-92 one dealership had 3 purple/silver heritage rs models on the lot.

Ya I always liked that colour...real sharp....almost as nice as that 2000 honda colour someone was talking about.....but then again I am probably biased since mine is that colour...

 

Another purple paint is Thistle Metallic. Its from 1997 Fords. It is a bright purple in the sun and dark at night. I dont have any pics of my spoiler that we tested. I can try to get some and post them.

I have the ford purple paint on my car. The full name is thistle chardon cordo. It looks awesome. Its pretty dark all the time but it has alot of metallic in it. I know they painted c4s with a real nice dark purple color. I want it on my car. anyone help me out with a code??

 

Just saw a 92z vert with the Purple Haze paint/Silver Heritage stripes pass me last week. I almost ran off the road looking in my rearview mirror at it...Got my attention in a hurry. Damn nice ride..

 

I have a 1992 Camaro RS with a 3.1 and that paint option (The Purple Haze/Hawaiin Orchid). I had it repainted last year by a professional, totalling nearly 2500 dollars, and man it looks awesome, and stock as can be. Unfortunately it is not the GM original paint code, just damn close. I am at school now,when I get home I will post pictures for you all to see. I added V8 16" Rims to the car, a Z/28 Grille, clear side markers, a nice system, flow masters, CAI, hyperjunk chip, and a few other odds and ends. Catch u guys later.
