pic's of new 4th SS wheels for 3rd gens, anyone have them?

Just want to see if anyone is running these yet? I love them to death, going to pick up a set very soon. I like the 17x8 because when I race I change out the rear tires anyway to 15x10 slicks, so just for driving around town the 8" rear tire is fine with me.

Only $699 plus shipping

Side note I talked to JDWheels.com and told them about the new SLP wheels for the 3rd gens, told them the price and they said they would give me the Synper's in 17" for my car under there price, for everything with shipping, lugs, everything for $725. Hell of a deal, but I like the SLP wheels better...

anyone have new pics??

And I'm with you on the width thing too. Everyone makes such a big deal about only being 8" inches. "most" of us will never push the car hard enough to make a big difference. As for appearance...well sure, they're not some big ole fattie 275's, but they still look really good.

Would I prefer 9.5's...sure, but I'm surprised it such a deal breaker for so many.

can you use a flat center cap on those? don't like the bulge there. I like it when they are flat with the red bow tie in the middle like these

nope. well atleast with the front wheels u cant because of the difference in offset, the dust cap now sticks out past the lugs, that buldge in that cap is to clear the dust caps. however with the rear u might be able to use a flat cap, but whats the point if the fronts have the buldge.

Which begs the question, if the wheels fit that snuggly on the hub do your really need your dust cap that bad?

I don't think so....

ud be suprised how much dirt grease attracts. and going buy the cost of new hub/rotor parts its very wise choice to keep the dust caps on there. wheel bearings cost about 10 bucks a peice, dust caps are only like 3 bucks, andseals are about 5 bucks, the cost adds up quick. not to mention excess dirt in the bearings would probably ruin the taper on the spindles axle causing exces play between the bearing and the axle, requiring another spindle... u can see where this is going...

But wouldn't the flat cap on the wheel act just like the dust cap? If the wheel forms a seal to the hub all the way around then the only place for dirt to get in would be from the cap on the wheel..a silicone bead should take care of any dust problems don't you think?

You don't really want the adaptors if there is a solution that doesn't involve them. I have a set, used for a couple months, and I was not happy with the way that they felt when driving. I am ditching mine for a set of wheels with the proper offset.

What size adaptors do you have?

Willing to sell them?

If not me, I may have a few guys interesded in buying them.

When you say you did not like running the adaptors, what was the reson for that, what did they act like? Because, I am going with 4th gen style wheels myself and will run the adaptors.

Thanks
