I was going to do this to my 87 Iroc but i decided i liked the smooth look of the 85-90 better.

If you were to paint your car all one color, and have no stickers/stripes, then the 85-90 gfx > 91-92 IMO

Irocs look so clean with no stripes/stickers and the 85-90 gfx just top off the clean look.

Dont get me wrong, I like 85-90 GFX, but the 91-92 are so much more "modern". Im in the process of putting them on my IROC and it makes the car look so much meaner!

I actually would say to do the opposite, not that pre-91's look better one color, I think one color is the way to go for every car. but if you are going 2-tone stay with your ones, but if your going all blue, then switch to 91-92's

i like the 91/2 gfx.... but the thing is when people put them on an iroc, it looks like someone simply threw iroc badges on a 91/2 z or rs.... it seems to take away from the fact that its a "real" iroc and not a car that someone just badged as one....

My argument to that is...

There were Sport Coupes, RS models and base Z28's with the same '85-'90 ground effects as the IROC-Z's had.

I figure if you have an IROC w/ 91-92 Z28/RS GFX, and you still put the PROPER Z28/IROC badges, its all good.

BTW: Who cares that the average joe thinks anyway. I mean, hell 85-87 IROCs said "Z28" on the bumper and rockers. Why wouldn't the average joe think that its just a regular Z28 with IROC decals?

.... and that folks is why I think the 91-92 GFX and fake IROC comments are.... well..... invalid.

I'd get the 91-92 style and paint them body color (For the love of ***, two-tone is LAME {and my Z is currently two-tone, midnight blue with silver gfx...})

The 91-92 style just makes the whole car look much more aggressive. It's funny what just the slightest little updates do for overall styling... I'd love to snag some for my Z.

Ok i really dont understand ur theory...what about the hood/spoiler/wheels that are specific to the irocs. Your only changing 1 simple thing the gfx with the stripes and iroc decals i dont think someone is gonna think that u just put tthem on...think about it

I voted for the 91-92 gfx cause they are the best looking gfx ive ever seen...

I mean i guess its all ur opinion and how you view it but i really dont think someone would assume its a 91-92 cam with iroc decals

to me it just seems out of place.... i'm not saying that people shouldnt do it... but in my opinion it takes away from the car being an iroc...

i dunno guys, i'm not telling you not to do it.... its just not something i'd do to an iroc if i had one...
