Process:
1. Wash wheels. ( 30 Minutes)
2. Use degreaser to get as much grease/brake fluid off.(15 minutes)
3. Use adhesive cleaner to remove as much grease as possible.(15 minutes)
4. Tape wheels up(I used green 3M automotive masking tape- about $7 per roll) Make sure you use a utility knife to smooth edges. The painted ring around the outside is hard to cut out. (1-3 hours per wheels- you need to take your time)
5. Spray with autobody paint. Make sure you rotate wheels as you spray to get all sections.( I used Dupli-Color DSGM 398 Bright Red). Used 2-3 coats depending. (5-10 minuted per wheel)
6. Let sit overnight.
7. Spray with clearcoat( I used Dupli-Color Clear coat) Spray clearcoat 2 times. Let sit to dry for a couple of hours.
8. Peel of tape gradually.
** If the previous paint is just discolored (like mine), there is no need to sand it.**
If you have any other questions feel free to ask!
