My school is having a car show, and with any luck it'll be a ton better then last year. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for going into a car show? I have a question that bugs me, but there's nothing I can do about it... my headliner is shot... bad... and I need new doorpanels. Would I be better off leaving them in, or taking them out and saying that I have these parts ordered or I'm buying them soon or...? I'm entering the student class, just competing with other kids from my school. I think I'd stand a good chance at winning but you never know... last year a stupid riced out 240SX won so I dunno....

Anyone have any tips/tricks/suggestions? Thanks.

Leave them in. Your car will look much better with them there. Your best bet is to clean them up as much as possible and then put a good protectant on them to give them a shine. Sun of a Gun is pretty good but the Maguires stuff is even better.

Now for your head liner, you may want to see if you can spray glue the fabric back up....if that's the problem. At least it will get you by for now until you can replace it.

Hope that gives you something to work with.

Oh yeah, as for being in the car show. Make sure the car is clean, of course. Wax the car and clean the tires really good. And if possible, get under the car and clean it a little. Clean the rearend, muffler, etc. That will make things look better.

Good luck.

The headliner is well beyond anything that can make it 'get by for now'. I think I could make the doorpanels half decent...

d00d trust me you van fix any headliner board. It justamtters how much hot glue ya got. Trust me, i'm pretyt muhca headliner expert, and the headliner board can be broken but it takes 3 hours to straghten out and recover.

Here is the headliner repair guide i made-

Here is a link to a forum where i recovered my door panels and dyed the carpet.

if a r!cer won last year a r!cer will probebly win this year.

if your school is like any other school most students are into "NAWS" and wrong wheel drive cars.

just do a big azz burnout b4 the showing and show them what a real car does. and have fun!!!!!!!! ^^^^^^^like he said^^^^^^^

keeping your windows up might save you embarrassment but you'll loose points that is if this is a point judged show. i agree though that's what i'd do especially if it's not even in stock condition.

not sure why you would expect to place in any show that your headliner is falling down and your door pannels are shot but at least your willing to enter. everyone starts somewhere.

hmmm, a school car show... really good idea if the kids at my school actually cared about their cars enough not to smash them every six months...
