3 Questions...?

I'm new and I've been browsing for days and I love the site. I've seen bits and pieces regarding these questions but if ya'll have the time please answer them. I'd appreciate it.

1) Who makes a 2" cowl hood for a '91 camaro?

2) Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced chrome 5-spoke that is available in 17x8(front) and 17x9.5-10(rear)?

3) What the widest 17" rear tire size that fits good on a non-lowered RS?

Thanks,

John

Really? I've got the stock Z28 rims now and they're 16". The stance stock looks OK...not too high. I didn't think 17's would make it look higher?

Maybe because of having to use a lower profile tire??

18's are great but cost alot...

Also, on the Harwood's...I checked there site out and all they have is 3" and 4" cowls for my 91. 3's OK, but I wanted a 2".

First you don't have to lower your car if you get 17's, that is just someones opinion. Most of the people that run larger wheels don't drop there cars. Do it if you want, but you don't need to. 17's with a 45 series tire look great with the stock height.

Go to www.unlimitedproducts.com and look at there 2 1.2" cowl hood, lift off (still use springs just pins in front) is like around $200 or so. Good hoods, I had there 4 3/4" cowl on my last thirdgen (92 Z28).

For wheels, go no wider then 17x9 in front and 17x10 in the rear 9I have seen 17x11 in the rear, really wide, but okay).

I just picked up a new set of 17" ROH snypers for $730 with lugs and shipping, great wheels, top of the line for 3rd gens IMO.

Good luck and welcome to the boards... Using the search option you can find just about anything related to 3rd gens, anything!!!

uh, 17's don't make the car look like a 4x4 unless you get a tall sidewall tire.
