Jealous kids...
Well, i just got my car and its a fire-engine red 86 Trans Am with 56xxx miles on it.I love it to death. I got recaro seats and all the options..not t-tops but i like the car too much to pass it up for that reason. Anyway i brought it to school yesterday and some axxwipe keyed it
. There is about a 6 inch scratch on the driver fender. The scratch is thin and white so it very noticeable.Anyway now that i look at it it looks like it was done with a knife and that they tried to slit my tires since the front driver wheel has slashes in it but they didnt go through!(thank ***!) what should i do>? Painting isnt an option so what can mask the scracth?
any help would be appreciated

depending on how deep it is.. a touch up could be done with the correct paint, and then lightly sanded and polished to make it all smooth again.. if done right .. the scratch area would barly be visible..
o man , im sorry to hear about it. I think you should get a cheap car to drive to school or something, thiers always *******s that try to wreck peoples stuff. esp in high school. As for covering it up , i know they sell those pens with paint in them and they also sell turtle wax with a red marker. Do you have any pics of the car .

Does your school have security camera's? I know mine does so if someone did that to me, they would catch them quick.
All I can say to do is try and find some touch up paint and hope for the best.
Oh yeah, and don't drive it to school any more until they catch the criminal who did this

buy security camera for your car, you can get 3 cmaeras and a VCR ioff the net bor $150. HTen put an 8 hour tape in and it'll watch it all school day long. Then your covered.
BUt just so you dont get in trouble you gotta have a tiny sign that says "your on camera."

I never really thought about how much **** people do to other's cars at high school. for some reason my camaro went untouched all of HS. But then again ive always been the 'big scary kid' who knows eh? but i like that camera idea. Best setup would be a car-puter install along with a few webcams. haha then you could install a wireless access point, and check your cameras from your wireless laptop in class. eh?

That happened to me last fall... 2' (no thats not a typo, I mean 2 feet!) long gash in the paint on the drivers door.
If I find out who did that to her... *turns green and becomes the Hulk*

I'm not so pissed at the scratch, my paint sucks anyway, but its just the fact that it was keyed pisses me off.

the only thing my car has to worry about right now is getting hit, 3 days ago a girl got run over in the parking lot by this one d00d's brand new monster truck.
2 ambulances, 1 firetruck, the entire school grounds sub station were there. The whole school got a reason to be 30 minutes late to class.

What I would do
Student parking lots usually have security right? (mine did when I was in school). Tell the security guard that if he finds the perp, you'll reward him (our guard was also crooked). If you can't find the perp, i'd suggest asking around, SOMEONE knows who did it, word always used to travel fast in HS. I know this one guy who had his hood punched in, some chick told him who done it and the kid got severly beaten (hospitalized).

My senior year of high school ended up being the worst for my car. Came out one day and drove it to the store and walked by the passenger side to see a crazy scratch from my back fender to the front , ended up costing me 250 to fix. The security gard was a idoit about, "Oh that seems to be a problem, so and so had her car keyed last week too. Umm we'll have to do something about that." I wanted to shoot the guy, turns out the other car was a friend mine. She ended up needing a whole paint job. Neither one of us drove to school after that. Just got rides from friends. Just so happened it was the only two sport cars in the lot. Go figure, jealousy is a bitch.
If you want to compare about being keyed. While in calls at my H.S. 2 years ago I went to my car to take my girlfriend home only to find a nice long scratch from the rear bumper down to the front bumper . . . thats right got the rear bumper, quarter, door, fender and front bumper. All in all I had to have the entire side of the car repainted. Then the day after I got it back, it was back into out infront of my girlfriends house, lady hit and ran. Got that fixed. Then 2 days after I got it back from that one I got nailed at 45 MPH by a drunk driver. Messed up the entire other side. So I basically got an entire paint job just by accidents that weren't my fault.
I agree with FastElectrics. Just get some great matching touch up paint, sand, wet sand and rub it out. It won't get it out and u will still be able to notice it in the sun and when your up close, but it will get it really close.

Jealousy does suck. And Norton Mass is full of it and jerks. A guy I knew at school put a TON of time and effort into restoring a '79 Trans Am. Bueatiful car, all done up. Drove it to school a couple days. one day, he left, went to go home, and almost got killed because some ****ers decided to cut his brake lines. Not the e-brake, his regular brakes. Still doesn't know who did it. My friend even had his tires slashed while sitting in the parking lot, all 4 of them. We have some jealous *******s around here. This small hick town is full of 'em.

yeah i hate when people do that f*ckin stuff... It just makes me mad, especially when ppl put there time into and then it gets destroyed in a second.... grr... I would never bring my 1991 Z28 Camaro to my school... No way in hell.. Even some other kids with there 1991-1992 RS do... Thats why i rather bring my 2004 Jeep Wrangler insted... Even tho its not a good idea the fact its a 2004 model... But the Camaro is my baby :hail:Image removed. Check your PMs.

Last week I took my camaro out for the first time in about 3 months to go to the store. When I went to park, the person on the other side of the space was over the line, so I just touched the car with the front of my bumper. When I was going into the store I passed the owner of the car in front of me I looked back and it seemed that she was getting into her car and got ready to take off. I turned around to get what I needed in the store and when I came out this woman keyed my car!! This lady was in her mid 60's!!! You would think that a lady of age would just let it go. I did no damage to her car. I have a front cover on my car, and before I went in the store I checked to see if there was any damage on her car. There was none, Just goes to show that senior citizens can be immature too. If I would have damaged her car, I would have stayed and did the right thing, and told her about it. I do have that much respect! Now I have about a 2 foot key mark on my back bumper because of some immature seior citizen, and my paint job is 8 or 9 months old!! So I feel anybodys pain that has had their car damaged by some stupid person. Belive me, if i would have caught her, I would have let my wife drag her out of her car no matter how old she was and made her see the error of her ways.

***, I am always scared parking at school. But I always park next to my friends. Oh, and even if the school says they have cameras, they probably don't have tape, that's how my school is. 1 more year.

Look what some freshman mother did to my car with her pos tarus. Her insurance wants to only give me 200 $ because the car is old and "most likely had other damage before" WTF! my bumper did not have a scratch
