need painting info

These are the two that I used:
"Paint and Body Handbook" by Don Taylor and Larry Hofer; Hp Books, 1984
"How to Custom Paint" by David H. Jacobs; Motorbooks International, 1990
The first one is the better of the two, I used the second one for when I put the stripes on my car. BTW, I had the help of someone with lots of experience when I painted my car. That helped a lot.

1989 Firebird 305 TBI
hand rubbed acrylic laquer paint *all body work, prep and painting done by me and my dad* polished wheels, hypertech chip, performance exhaust, Kenwood cd player, Kenwood 6x9's and 4x6's, a few other minor things
