Clear Coat???
Were they using clearcoat in 1983? JW because my car has its orginal paint and it seems to be a different finish.

Don't think so, but maybe you can check the RPO codes in the console and see, be some letters/numbers at the bottom of the sticker. You can wax a small section and if you get color on your wax rag, it's not clear coated.

I don't think that any color comes off when I wax but my car is white so it probably wouldn't show up anyway. It just occured to me one day while waxing it that my car probably didn't have clear coat... and then I got real close to the paint and decided that it didn't look like it but I wanted to ask you guys anyway...thanks for the info.
