Agreed. It looks like you are ready to go off-roading with it right now. The rims do look nice though.

The car and rims look really good. I've been thinking about getting those rims because they aren't too expencive and look great, but a few things have been stopping me.

1- Buying 17" tires. I haven't priced them... but they have to be pretty darn expensive

2- You NEED high performance large rotors and calipers for them to look right (otherwise they look empty).

No offence to your car because it's nice, but I'd want to have rear disc brakes and larger front rotors before putting them on. For those reasons, I think i'll be staying with the 16" GTA crosslace rims for a while. They look sharp and don't require an expensive brake setup to look right.

They are 17X8 front and 17X9 back compared to my factory 15X7's.

If you look at my sig pic.. it looked like my car was raised anyway. But i still would like to lower it with the eibach pro-kit springs.

I thought about doing the brakes first, but i am thinking the brakes i would go with wouldn't fit with the 15inch wheels there. The rear drums are a definite thing that is going to be changed very soon with a disc brake rear that will be stronger and with 3.42's.

Although spending another $2700 or so to lower it and put better brakes in front and a new rear in the back with disc brakes sounds so good.. its not really attainable anytime soon and those 15's really needed to be upgraded ASAP. With 396rwtq i needed a fatter wheel on the back for more TREAD. 2 inches wider in the back now on each side plus went from 235 to 275.

Is the engine missing? That front end is raised a lot!

I'm with 19doug90 on this.. they look good, but no better than stock. I just never really liked those rims very much...

I've always liked the snypers. Once you lower it I think it'll look better then stock. Also, where did you get them from? I thought they were discontinued last year.

HAHA! I really wish the front end would sit lower too.. i need more $$$

check this:

although it needs to be lowered.. the height was still needing the same cure before and i would prefer it this way over the 15's even though i haven't gotten the brakes, the lowering or the rear disc's yet.

yeah, i can understand wanting the additional tread in the back if you had 15x7 rims before. How does the ride and handling compare after changing over? Does the reduction of sidewall make the ride considerably rougher? Oh and how much did you spend on the tires?

I have a truck for the winter, ****ty one, but it's still a truck lol. I don't think my Camaro wouldn't fair too well in the snow, it'd be more like a plow.

I wouldn't be surprised if your traction is worse with the rims. I went from 215s on a 15" rim to 245s on a 16" rim and i lost a considerable amount of off the line traction.

I haven't really had much time to drive around to compare yet. The ride seems a little stiffer, but i won't beable to really compare until i get the front end kit put in..

Paid $715 for tires including tax, mounting and balancing, chrome valve stems.

245/45/17 front
275/40/17 back

Bridgestone Potenza RE750's.

OH and nothing a little photoshop can't fix for photo's:

didnt all 90 IROCs come with 16" wheels? I know some 88 and maybe 89 IROCs got the 15" Z28 wheels, usually the LO3 ones

so yes.. my iroc got stock 15" wheels, no wonderbar, rear drum, no power accesories, no cruise, standard am/fm cassette, 2.73 gears, LB9 w/ 210hp and 285 tq.

$150 shipped for 2" dropsprings on ebay. Search for camaro and springs and they will come up. You can install them yourself easily. Only special tool you need is a spring compressor and any autozone will rent you one for free. It costs less than 1 tire man, the "lift" on your car breaks the look more than the wheels will ever make it.

Another note, you can get rear disk setups with the valves for under $300. I would know, I just sold my 4th gen rear with disks for $250. Install on these is easy as well. In fact you might as well do it at the same time as your springs

They are being restored in put in storage.. I have ALL original parts from the car... engine is going to be rebuilt for about 275hp and put in a early 90's truck for the time being.. Then in 15-20 years when i have another 175,000 miles on this engine.. i will put the original engine in and wheels and the only mods will be bolt ons and of course brake grade, rear upgrade in gears and parts and tranny upgrade. It will be a show car and i will have something to hover around in and modify to get from 0-60yards up in the air within so many seconds =)

wheels look good, 2 things. Lower the front an inch or 2, and paint the wheel wells black. The gray wells make em look smaller.

wheels are such a personal decision....what's nice to one is completely different to others. i for one think your car overall looks very clean, the rims are nice but i don't particularly care for the style so i would pass up the car on them alone.

however, that's just my opinion as they seem to be quite popular. the car looks very clean.

Really like the red/black combo on our cars.....

I'm probably gonna sound like an echo, but lowering it would be the very next modification i would do
