Pics of my 1984 Trans Am (Who likes the early stuff?)

After a year having my car, I finally got out to get some decent pics of my 84. Man, gotta represent the early Thirdgens. But hey, any thirdgen rocks.

This is a pic outside of Oakley Headquarters. I'll post two pics now and the rest later.

Looks great man! Not many of the early ones (especially 'birds) lurking around here, nice to see another fine example!

I love seeing the early birds represented. How well does the car "breathe" with the front grilles covered up?

Good looking car. Neat looking building too.

^ LOL!

Yeah, I'd get rid of the bra but the nose is in sad shape, and with the bra on it has a tendency of heating up.

But I've been thinking about lowering the car for sure, say, 1.5 inches?

Looks good. I had an 83, i'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the early ones. And yeah, ditch the bra, a nice bumper with the grilles really brings out the mean look of those years. Need some center caps for those rims too... other than that, she looks good. This is the only remnants of my 83 TA below...

yeah, I guess they're getting a bit rare. Production wise they made a bunch of these little bumble bees. It can barely get out of it's own way but when it gets up into the higher gears and speeds its pretty good. It has a 3.73 rear in it which helps slightly. The motor has seen better days though. Im probably going to just rebuild it. I want to keep this oddity odd.

I like that pic of the chopped rear of the 83 ta sitting on the floor. That is pretty cool. I guess if your going to junk the car might as well make something fun out of it.

Want a darker color? Black. Here's my old 83. And FYI, 3 picture max post up for a thread. Check the FAQ's thread for other rules.

Yeah, she was my baby. And no, I didn't total it, someone else took the pleasure of doing it for me. It was parked on the side of the road in front of my friends house in his neighborhood, and a girl ran into it head on doin about 60 in a 25 zone. 9K of damages, total loss. So now i'm startin over from scratch with my 86.... I miss my 83 though...

I plan to, just don't have the money for all the materials right now, so it'll stay as a place for my dirty clothes until I get the time to do it.

I think the early thirdgens and the best looking in my opinion. They just seemed to reinvent the wheel to many times on the later ones (85-92), even though they gained performance that the early cars lacked.
