Hmmm...I always thought that was the way your car looked presently...good photochop!
I would say go with 18x8 fronts and 18x10 rears.
245/40/18 fronts and 295/35/18 rear.
Can't wait to see what she looks like!
Keep us updated on the CF hood also...I am jealous

do they make a left and right side wheel? they in opposite direction in your sig. I usually don't care for wheels with "leaned" spokes cause they look backwards on one side.
I did mine 18x8 front w/ 4.5" backspacing w/ 245/45/18 tire and 18x9.5 rear w/ 5.5" backspacing w/ 275/35/18 tire. If I did it again I would probably go for 18x10 rear, 18x9 front and re-measure the backspacing so they are all the way to the edge of the fender lip (current setup is inset a bit when compared to the lip of the fenders)

my votes for 18s. With 19s you would have to run a decent sized sidewall as not to bend the rim and big rims plus anything besides low profile tires equals what I think someone on here referred to as the "hotwheels" effect. IMO 18s are as big a can be done on thirdgens while still looking good.

I would vote for the 19x8 size, as that's what i have on my car and i'm happy with them.....
If you are going for 18's, then get soem 18x9 or 18x10 in the rear and 18x8 in the front...
nothing above a 40 series tire...

id say go with the 18's unless you have another daily driver. 19's might look great (ive never seen them personally) but you run too much of a high risk. 18x8 w/245/40/18 FRONT 18x10 w/295/35/18
as far as backspacing i would like to know the exact numbers needed as well for the above dimensions because thats what im looking into gettting and just need to know the correct backspacing/offset.
i think they would look killer on your car.

24x10's all around!!!
naw, jk... i say 18x10's in the back and something slightly narrower in the front... not too knowledgeable about backspacing; but i'm sure crazyhawaiian's help will be valuable since he already has had experience with boyd's...

I have contacted them on this before and they make the wheels in a left set and a rights set so they all face the same way
i think it all depends on where you want your wheels to sit. i myself like them in the stock location. i'm extremely happy with my 18x8 front 4.75 bs and 18x10 rear 6.75 bs but i had to cut a bit of the bumpstop off in the rear. going with this bs though allowed me to keep the wheels in the stock location which makes lowering and everything else so much easier. if you want to push it to the edge go with 9's in the front but that's more then enough.
here is how the 10's looked with 5.75 bs. this was alright but i couldn't lower the car much and when i stepped up to a wider tire like my 295/35 dr it rub quite a bit, especially with a passenger in the car. so i moved them in to 6.75 which worked alot better. also the larger lip with the 5.75 was alot easier to bend as i bent both hoops very quickly with the 4 1/4" lip.

here they are rehooped with 6.75 bs and only a little more then 3 1/4" lip. not as deep of a dish as i'd like but i don't have to worry about any of the hassles i had. things that i wish i knew before hand.

here is how my fronts sit with a 18x8 at 4.75 bs. if i were running 9's i would be roughly 1/2-3/4" further towards the fender (sticking out) and i would not be able to run a coilover or in my case an air strut so for me not only is an 8" perfect for my driving preference but is the only way to work with my suspension.

i do like the staggered look though on our cars. it would look alot like this when rolling which is nice.

as in...?
increase backspacing so that you have less space up front?
not sure i'm following. if you run stock suspension yes you could move the wheel inward even more or decrease the backspacing. if you move the backspacing up more or move the wheel out you could but then you run the risk of lowering problems as well as rubbing and whatnot.
what is it your asking?

kandied....i absolutly think the way your car sits is perfect. so when i get new rims i should get 18x8 w/4.75 BS and a 245/45/18 tire for the front. then a 18x10 w/6.75 BS and 3 1/4 lip and 295/35/18 out back?
what all was involved in cutting the bumpstop was that due to the rims or you lowering the car more?
Graboid - why do you say that a 295 on a 10 in boyd looks so bad?

), increasing the backspace of the wheel will push the 'hoop' of the wheel further into the wheelwell while leaving the face of the wheel in the same place. This will also increase the backspacing (i.e. 5" backspacing to 6" pushes the wheel further inward). It also increases the offset of the wheel (i.e. 0mm to +24mm, etc).Nevertheless, I think you did answer my question.
So with your coil-overs, you don't have as much room behind the wheel as a stock suspension, right? correct, because of the coilovers. particularly the large ones i was running with a 3" dia it was tight. with the new air ride suspension the strut bags are almost 4.25" dia which is just about as close as you would want to cut it.
everyones different, just stating what worked for me....
CamarosRUS you pretty much have it right, had to cut the bumpstops in order for the rim to roll. had one slight area that sort of stuck out about 3 1/2x2 1/2" in area that had to be hammered in roughly 1/4". it didn't keep the wheel from rolling but clearance was so tight that it was needed to give it that little bit of room for suspension shift left to right. it was very easy and quick to do....as much as i was against it i'm so much more happy doing so unlike when i had the wheels sticking out.

thanks for the reply. maybe its just me but wheel stick out is not a fashion statement on cars looks like well, misfitted wheels IMHO
i agree, there is no mistaken that i have wide tires out back which is nice but at the same time they aren't directly in your face like they were with the above first setup. however if you don't want to cut anything on the car you really need a smaller backspacing like that 5.75 but then you get the larger dish which makes street driving rough and it sticks out.
Well if anyone wants to know what the 18x8 w/ 4.5" BS front and 18x9.5 with 5.5" BS rear looks like from the side of the car (to show how it sits in relation to the fenders), here are some shots:
Front High - Close
Front Low - Close
Rear High - Close
Rear Low - Far
Front High - Close
Front Low - Close
Rear High - Close
Rear Low - Far
crazy , thats looks aweosme, i cant wait to get my rims now. Im glad i went with the same bs front to rear as you . Lemme ask you this, is thier room for a larger tire, maybe a 285 or 295 to fit back there.
285/35/18 is actually as close to stock as you can get for my vehicle on a 10" wide. 295 is the smallest width in an 18" dr and works just fine.
couldn't even imagine stretching a 255 on a 10" unless you had a tall profile.

Bringing back for some more info.
Kandied, you wouldn't happen to have the pictures that you posted originally showing the various angles, do you? Also, do you have any pictures of where you modified the bump stops? I could not find those anywhere I searched. Thanks for any help, this thread has already provided plenty of info.
