Hmm. I was under the impression that 'billet' was the name of the machining process, not the material.

 

i should have put steel in there as you can have cast steel wheel too. billet is a type not a way....cnc, forged, cast, etc. are all ways.

 

They were 17 inch irocs, but the chome was two bling bling against the black, wanted two turn it down a little and go with a bigger rim with a nice lip

 

How wide are the rims and what size tires?

 

With the new wheels and ditching of the louvers, It's a night and day difference

if you like you could get me a copy of the bracket that uses the stock caliper and adapts those brakes. baer won't release the caliper so that we can just add their eradispeed rotors.

those of you with these kits could be making a killing having them duplicated. you let me know if you want to make some copies...i'll set you up!

here is the basic ideal. the stock rear disc setup is the exact same thing baer is selling you with the difference being the main bracket that basically moves the caliper out enough to accept a larger 12" rotor rather then the stock 11.45" or whatever exact size it is.

now their 12" rotor they use is the same rotor as the front sport kit which is a direct replacement off of various factory vehicles making cross drilled rotors very affordable and they look nicer then what most offer for our own stock replacement.

so what i'm saying is if one basically had someone duplicate that bracket that would allow people like myself who still have stock disc brakes to upgrade the size of our rotors and essentially upgrade the stopping power you could easily make your money back and then some.

one way or another anyone who has this kit and is willing to get the brackets duplicated let me know as i would like to work something out. i've spoke with baer, they said they were going to release them and they haven't. i can't see purchasing duplicate pieces just for the bracket in the end. i would like to be able to put a 2 piece 12 rotor on the rear to match my front but i need that bracket.

I had suggested that you try a set of LS1 rear brakes Kandied, since they are 12x1 and have a nice internal parking brake, with wilwood having available rotor hats for internal parking brakes, but now I checked on the set i have and the id would need to be 7.5" for the parking brake and the wilwoods arent available that large, there goes that idea

Z28***** yeah i thought about that too except that it is much more practicle to change a simple bracket however one needs to get ahold of that bracket otherwise the whole point is lost.

 

where did you get those tanks from, they dont look factory? If they are factory then im just blind...
