What should I paint my 92 Z...
The clear coat on my 92 Z is beginning to peel so I've decided to have it painted. Its medium green metalic right now, but I would like a black or a blue much better. My friend's dad will paint the car including doorjams, under the hood, etc. for $1250. He is also including painted stripes for this price.
I am going to have him put heritage style stripes on the car and I am considering having him put stripes on the roof and rear bumper as well. Should I have him put stripes on the roof and rear bumper or not?
What color/stripe combo would you paint the car? If you have any photos of black or blue camaros with stripes please post. All other ideas, combos, and photos are also welcome and appreciated.
Also, I've search all over and can't seem to find a pictures of black camaros with white heritage stripes. If anyone has any please post them. Thanks

If you go blue do silver stripes or white as well. Start them right above the grill or a couple inches up from the front of the hood. You honestly dont even need them on the roof or rear bumper I think it looks good on just the front. But thats just my opinion. I'm getting my 92-Z repainted in 2 weeks red.

any pics of a medium green 92z? i'd like to see it before you paint it as that's not a stock color by far....
No, sorry-
but, I plan on buying one within the next week, so I'll take a mess of pictures then and post them. This will include pics of my new all black interior, installed 4th gen leather seats, 98-02 console, and polished wheels.
Oops,
I was told it was medium green met. but after just looking at the RPO codes (37U) its dark bright teal metalic. It also appears to be the original paint.

Does anyone have any camaro stripe pictures then?
If someone has a picture of a black camaro with white heritage stripes I'll be forced to used the cloud guy and bow down guy at the same time.

How about platinum metallic with black heritage stripes?
" for my taste. I would also feel compelled to buy some crome rims for a car like that. Thanks for the idea though.

Is that a 69??? Yeh like that for sure.
I would have that style of stripes put on for sure if I had a cowl hood, but I'm not certain how good that would look with the 91-92 Z28 hood. I guess that I could always add a cowl hood later and have it painted that way.
Also, the reason that I'm thinking about having stripes put on the rear bumper is because I love the way stripes on a rear bumper complimented by stainless steel tips, make a car stand out far better and scream "bring it!" And if I add stripes to the rear bumper I believe that it may look odd without stripes on the roof as well. On the other hand, that much stripe on a car might look overkill.
One thing is for certain though, it appears most of you so far vote for blue.
More pics pleese...

Go to your local Chevy dealer and find a Trailblazer or something in Indigo Blue. It is a very nice, vibrant blue. Very eye-catching. I also think 4th gen Navy Blue Metallic would look really nice on a thirdgen. I love having black paint, but it is very hard to keep looking good...keep that in mind.
Whatever you do, make sure you post some pics when it's done

i know you said platinum is out but have you ever considered gunmetal with black stripes? Kinda like "Eleanor". That's one of the best color combos I've ever seen IMO. Otherwise blue would look good to.

The blue w/white stripes has always been a beautiful look and if I was you I would go with that... but my favorite paint job is pearl blue with ghost flames, midnight blue with ghost flames looks nice to... well for that matter I love all ghost flames!!!
