black or silver headlight pockets???

I am putting a new nose on the Z and need an opinion on which color the headlight pockets should be. I had them black as you can see in the pic but you think it would look cleaner if they where silver? Im trying to decide on something to break up the car somehow. I was thinking of stripes for the new 4" hood but I dont know right now. Desisions Desisions

yep. although silver is one of the least nasty with the black buckets, i still think 99 times out of 100, the car looks cleaner with body color buckets.

Yes, definitely keep them black. They're black on my Z and I love the contrast it gives the front of the car.

hey 19doug90, I know I've complimented you on the color before too, but now it's getting close to me actually repainting, and I want to know the color too

im fairly certain its just a metallic silver and was given the impression that it has a little bit of pearl in it. Dont know if i can do much better then that i just had the bumper cover repainted but they were just matching the colour so i dont think they would be able to tell me a name for what it is.

Your basic bet is a metallic silver. I dont know for sure if it has a pearl in it but i think it does and if it doesnt i think it would look totally awesome if it did. Yet after saying that it does change colour a bit in the street lights so i bet there is a bit of pearl in it.

And if you think it looks good in that pic well that pic the entire side of the car is covered in dirt and it needed to be cleaned badly. As of last friday i spent 6 hours washing and waxing the car doing a mothers 3 stage on-off wax the thing right now looks like a freaking mirror and stands out in a parking lot (especially at night it must have a pearl in it now that i think about it) but its been overcast since i did it so i havent bothered with pics weather here sucks. In the next couple days tho ill have some pics up of her all prettied up and with the custom stuff that i did to the front end over the winter.

I'm fairly certain it would look a little funny with black stripes anywhere near black headlamp pockets... as you can see, the one black stripe already makes the pockets a little too iffy.. too much accenting. Stick with the stripes or the pockets, but personally both would be overkill.

Personally, I just avoid black stripes But even that is a little iffy...

Usually I would say go w/ the silver, but in your case I would go w/ the black! It goes really well w/ the black front grill!! When I got my car painted we left the pockets the same color as my car! I love it, it makes my car look alot "cleaner"!
