ive seen ones that go on the side of aluminum aftermarket radiators, they are cylindrical and they bolt on or are welded on. I bet you could get something like that .

Looks Great! Just need to hide some of those wires now, looks like it's having a bad hair day.

And how did you go about smoothing the Plenum? Just sand/grind down the fins? then sand it smooth?

Jimmy.....bad hair day! I like that. Yes, you are right..I have a new set of plug wires ordered so I'll get them sorted out when I put them on.

As far as the plenum goes, I ended up clamping it to a sine plate and fly cutting them off on a bridgeport mill. I then sanded it smooth and polished after that. The cast aluminum dist. cover I had wouldn't work using that same method so I just cut out a new one from some sheet stock and bent it to match the plenum.

Flynlow...I would feel the same way if I lived in Florida too...but since I'm in Michigan it's really not that bad...we maybe have a few days in the summer when it gets above 90

I hear ya, Houston is VERY hot. Forget about driving around during the day if your A/C isn't up to the task.

I'll vouch for that, When i drove through your state my windows were up and the a/c was on full blast....

(I'll admit my windows were up after being warned of the "don't mess with texas" signs all over the place, I got through there as fast as i could with my florida plate.....lol)

This would be a great way to slove the problem as even with a new white tank, it would look horribly off-centered without another tank on the opposite side......

do you have washer fluid resivour anywhere? You could easily hide the washer/antifreeze resivours. I dont like the top of the tpi. Is it raised or something?

looks good, i think spending $8 on a new one would be a much better investment. without smoothing out all of the welds and filling in all of those holes the engine bay looks unfinished without the containers but that's just me. i'd put them back in but new and clean ones so that it looks much more finished.

great looking intake though, are you going to be at superchevy or camaro superfest?

Great ideas guys...I like the idea of putting it under the battery tray. Actually, I just starting making a tank today at work....it is 3inch by 3 inch hollow square tubing (10 inches long) that I tig welded caps on both ends.....All I have to do it put a vent in and the nipple for the overflow hose.....and polish it of coarse. I'll post pictures when I get it done.

Kandied...I "should" be at superfest this year...I haven't been there since they had it over at Domino Farms. I will be at Super Chevy in Martin.

I have bought plastic plugs for all the holes...just gotta paint them white and put them in.

Here's a pic of the outside of the car

I see you kept the bar essentials to the exterior as well, looks clean with no indication of what's under the hood.....

Very clean engine bay! I've seen several aftermarket overflow cans in Jegs and Summit that would look sweet in your car.
