Decals for 84 Trans Am

I have an 84 HO Trans. I know all the decals that go on it except one. The ones I know are as follows

2 front quarter panels "Trans Ams"
1 rear bumper "Trans Am"
2 Sail panel birds
2 scoop "5.0 Litre H.O."
pin striping around entire body above underbody panels
I don't need a front nose "Trans Am" because I have the air duct inserts with it engraved on there.

The question is: Does my car belong with a front nose bird or a louvreiux (sp?) bird and striping kit on the scoop? Right now it has the front nose bird, but I think the car was buffed and redone because some of the decals are faded off or completely missing.

Don't know if this helps, but here's what the car looks like now. I'm repainting it next week.

My buddies 84 T/A was originally a 305 H.O. car and it had the long louvered decal on the hood scoop.

My 84 TA has everything you mentioned and the louvered bird decal on the bulge. No bird emblem on the nose or edge of the hood. You can buy full kits of graphics for the cars in any of the original color schemes from Phoenix Graphix. I think the prices are great and if you go to their main page they have sets for all different years http://www.phoenixgraphix.com/transam/1984ta.htm

Those are definitely the best prices I've seen. The cheapest up until now for the whole kit was $290. They are also the first place I found to buy the stripe kit on it's own.

Let me ask this: Has anyone seen a 3rd gen with a bird like the one on mine before? I'm trying to figure out which car it goes on. Is it possible that pontiac had optional decal designs? My 77 Trans AM had 3 different optional birds for it. I know I've seen both decal designs marketed as 84 era. I mean, I'm not **** about getting it right, but I'd like to.

I've seen one exactly like yours on an original owner '84 T/A. The louvered bird was RPO DX1 and cost $38 extra.

my trans am looks to have the same style bird as yours.....but the thing with mine is that the body shop said that they couldnt find a place that sold the stripping kits so they had a place make them and so my bird emblems may not be the stock style....but i like mine the way they are.....

here is my hood emblem

and here is my bird emblem for the sides

since they were recreating them they said that it would be too hard to make them pinstriped like they should be so they basically just made the negative of that.....
