Sweet..

A nice clean engine bay for the bare essentials........

That thing must be easy as hell to keep clean......unlike the rest of ours...

Werd!

Looks very clean, much nicer looking than all black, yet retains some black accents to not overdo the white. Nice work!

i think im going to pull all the crap off my wheel wells and paint it all semi gloss black. with a red car, it should look nice. would it be better to strip the red off, or just scuff it up and paint it?

You want to know about the front suspension?? or the motor??

As for the front susp. nothing exotic! PA Racing cromoly tubular k-member and a-arms, stock springs, monroe struts, standard wonderbar, and my 15x4 Centerline Telstar wheels.

The motor list is kinda long/in depth

69 2-bolt block with splayed Eagle main caps
Eagle 4340 3.75 stroke crank (lightweight version)
Eagle 4340 H-beam 5.7 rods
SpeedPro (TRW) Forged flat-top
Total Seal Gapless 2nd ring, rings
Melling HV oil pump
Moroso 6 qt. pan with internal baffles
AFR 195 heads w/ 68cc chambers
ARP Studs on the heads, mains, oil pump
ARP Bolts on everything else
Comp 288HR cam
Comp 1.6 Magnum roller rockers
Comp retro hyd roller lifters
MSD 6AL and blaster 2 coil
MSD 8366 distributor
ATI Super Damper
JEGS heavy duty flexplate
Chevrolet Alum valve covers (SWEET)
...............Holley Stealthram system with 30lb inj..........

That about does it for that, got any questions let me know i'll try and answer to the best of my ability. I built this motor myself in my garage, we'll see how long it lasts. My 388 lasted me from July of 1997 till Nov. 2003 before the oil pump pickup head decided to come off and make my oill pressure go whack! The only maintenance done to my first motor was a cam change (due to a flatten lobe), and my upgrade to the AFR 195's, other than that it just took the thrashing i gave it. I have a large pile of timeslips over the years (100's of passes) and a few dyno runs from it.

When i get it back running i will drive it all around town. No emission laws out here in Kansas, but i'm sure that will change down the road someday.

The SS only runs 13.6, the 11.98 run was in my RS with the 388 that was in there, this 383 should run that quick or better with my HSR and roller cam set-up

All of that and you couldnt invest in a new overflow tank

Your whole setup looks damn sweet, the A/C delete looks great painted white, as mentioned before, great move.

Rattle can you say? That really gives me confidence, because I did the same thing except with black.

Slush92RS, your car is awesome.

I have a question about the crank pulley and "steering arm link thing" clearance. I don't know what it is called but it's the one that goes width-wise.

Anyway, my question is if you wanted to lower your engine in the engine bay to where the oil pan is closer to the K-member for better CG, would there be interference between the crank pulley and steering arm thing?

Once I win the lottery I'll be running something like that, only dry sump, so I can have the engine as low in the bay as possible. Just curious if I would have a prob.

My car isn't available to look at for myself and judge so I had to ask.

Thanks.

Oh and again, your car is evil .

As for my a/c delete heater box, that has been powdercoated white, i didn't paint that, and you should have seen the sad shape it was in when i got it, i never thought it would turn out the way it did. Gotta give props to LORAC in Wichita, thay blasted it and coated it.

Yeah i guess i could have bought a new overflow tank with all the $$$ i've been throwing at it, but hey a new tank is worth 0 HP

Those valve covers look like ***, you need to give them to me.

j/k, that motor looks SWEET! I'd say one of the best looking HSR motors I've seen in awhile. Can't wait to see how it runs!
