just peel it off. and you will need stuff to clean off the adhesive that is left on the paint. and some scrubbing.

i love how it looks. If someone could just peel mine off id give em 1000 bucks. Mine a freaking rivited , i hate them . It isnt daily driven or ever put in a situation where it would need them . SO it sucks.

I was thinking it looked a little boring at first but when i got into work and dried it off i realized it looks super nice. I just slowly peeled it off and used 3m trim adhesive and tar remover and slowly worked all the adhesive off. All in all it took about 3 hours and that was with about an hour and a half break when the weather went crappy on me.

how about a picture from the same distance/angle at the first?

From one picture it looks too plain.. from another it looks like it's "perfected"

IMO it shows the body lines much better. Without it the crease is more noticable just like on the hood. Just makes everything all flow together better.

seems to me that you could just pay to have them removed.. have the rivets drilled and filled and smoothened and painted.

i'd do it.

irocbuilder - much better, man.

dang man your car is nice! I really like the paint. Your car looked good with the trim on either way but it looks better without it. Im debating to put some back on after I get my car painted. Like Tony said though Im afraid of someone messing my doors up

Masterevil i'll get teh pic tomorrow from the same before shot. Yes you can get the new trim at a auto trim place fairly cheap and just replace it with new stuff. Mine was actually cracking from age.

Mike, thanks dude just wait till it gets outta paitn here soon Its a picture car the camera doesnt show its flaws but it is straight and thats why i got it.

looks good, i also took mine off (looks alot better off i think) big pice of advice, park fare away from other cars, make sure u have lots of space. what i do (works perfect!)is park at the end spot and park far over to the point were your tires are on the line, this way only one car can park beside u and u will have lots of space. if u cant find a end spot then part away from other cuz there alot of people that could care less if there door hit your car. and if someone does hit your car chance are it will put a dent and paint damage.

I'll never get rid of my trim. Too many door dingers out there! Though I dont' have a preference for either. Both look good.

Wish I had some trim to take off... Instead, I have this to show off. See how well it goes with the body lines?

Hey Brad looks like "knuaberizing" has spread to the third gens! By the way, I am not stalking you. My Contour finally bit the big one and I got a 92 RS to replace it. After driving this V8 around I can't believe I thought that Zetec was peppy!

Looks much better IMHO! Well done! Just watch where you park and avoid the door-dinging brigade.
