Why do you people bother fighting over this each of you are steadfast in your preference and wont budge so that is a lost cause and your not helping the guy who asked the question so you should realize your wasting your time
cdh67 - Thanks for the explaination. Just one more thing, im assuming an increased "scrub radius" is a bad thing (thank you Kandied91z). But how does it effect someone. Decreased ability to handel the car? more tire roll? what does it actaully do? Thanks again in advance.
Aredross - I dont think this is that heated. Ive seem much worse on message boards. A couple slightly agressive comments but im not gonna say this has turned into an argument....yet.

One other thing to note - if you're not changing the centerline of the tire, the scrub radius will not change. Bolting on a 17x9.5 w/ a 0mm offset will have the same scrub radius as a a 17x9.5 50mm offset rim with 2" adapters (within .031"). Same as a 16x8 0mm offset rim as well. It will change if you increase the track width up front, however.
I've snapped axles, broken torque arms, and torn driveshafts in half with adapters on the 17x11's... Proper adapter safety comes with installing them correctly, using anti-seize, and torquing them to spec. Never had any problems road racing the Z28tt either (come to Pocono/LimeRock/WatkinsGlen sometime!) Other than that, there is no maintenance required...
