Finally finished painting the ttz28..
Finally finished painting the ttz28..
Here are a couple pics so far.. It's still not all back together or cleaned up, but it looks much better than before.. About 1.5 months of full weekends of work into it.. Raised the cowl up 1.5 inches and put newer style gfx on it.. I have the two different inserts for the front bumper, but I'm not sure which one I'll use yet..

Love the exhaust but not a fan of the tach placement and im also not a fan of cowls on cars that dont need them, and i could be wrong but iirc you dont have anything that requires that clearance.

That car looks sweet man!!
First off, thanks everyone for the compliments and responses!
Skatepunk60 - That is a MacPherson brand hood..
It started out life as a stock fiberglass hood and got a 2 inch cowl scoop that I lengthened by 12 inches to match the length of the hood.. Then, this revision, I raised it up about 1.5 inches so my carb hat wouldn't hit the hood anymore..
nolanr0413 - No quarter times yet unfortunatly.. The closest track is 3 hours away so I want to have it running as best as possible before I make the trip.. (ie, truck and trailer)
V6camaroman - The mufflers are Flowmaster 40 originals.. They sound pretty tame due to the turbos eating a lot of noise, but it's still pretty loud..
StevenK - Check my website for exhaust pics..
megaracerx - I had them black before and I'm not sure what to do now.. I'm still up in the air about that...
19doug90 - If you're talking about the gauge on my hood, that is a fuel pressure gauge.. Racing regulations will not allow me to mount the gauge inside the car unless I have an isolater that keeps gas from entering the passenger compartment..
As for the cowl hood, I need all the clearance I can get.. I have a vic junior intake, nitrous plate, carb, and then a very tall carb hat.. It was hitting my cowl when it was only 2 inches high..
Thanks again everyone for the comments!!

i say leave the pockets yellow, it looks good, especially with the quality paint you appear to have.
