has anyone tinted tailights on a firebird? i think GTS makes custom things to put on your lights, but why when you could use tint? and is it illegal to tint them as long as the tint is of a legal limit?

First of all tint doesn't stick to plastic. Second light covers are Illegal in just about every state.
You can use model paint it is some what transparent. I made a couple of designs from a paper bag and put them over where the bulbs sit on the outside of the lens then sprayed the light with paint (body color). Just peel off the stencils and bang, custom lights.
