Can I Wax Black Headlight Cutouts?
#2
If you are talking about the headlight pockets I would be careful when waxing them. I would test a very small section before committing to doing the entire thing. Some of the paints like the satin in the headlight pocket will hold the wax and cause the paint to streak. I am not sure I would want to polish the pockets anyway. They are supposed to be a satin or semi-flat color and waxing or polishing would not give you the original look.
I know this sounds like a Zaino plug (and it is) but I have never had that streaking problem using Zaino polish. It does not cause a problem on the satin paint, decals, rubber or plastic parts if you get some polish on those items. As a matter of fact I use it on many plastic parts to help make them shine.

Thanks for your help, man! I left them alone and glad I did. By the way, I keep hearing about this Zaino, but I've never seen it anywhere. I've always used Zymol or Turtle Wax Extreme lately 'cause it seems pretty good for the money. Where can I find Zaino?
